Some Catholics are saying that the Reformation is over, so Protestants now should unite with Rome. This is because exactly 25 years ago last week, on October 31, 1999, Reformation Day, the "Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification" was signed, an agreement between the Vatican and the Lutheran World Federation, plus eventually other mainline liberal Protestants. Why this did NOT resolve the Reformation issues.
