A Day at the Park

There are days when the human spirit cannot be confined to walls and gadgetry. It yearns to experience nature in all its beauty. “Let us first be as simple and well as nature ourselves, dispel the clouds which hang over our brows, and take up a little life into our pores. Do not stay to be an overseer of the poor, but endeavor to become one of the worthies of the world,” (Thoreau, Walden).  “Indeed We have made that which is on earth as an adornment for it…” (Surah al Kahf, verse 7)

“And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful,” (Surah an-Nahl, verse 13)“If only you relied on Allah a true reliance, He would provide sustenance for you just as He does the birds: They fly out in the morning empty and return in the afternoon with full stomachs,” (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)).“Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous,” (Surah al Furqaan, verse 74).
