There are times and seasons that God takes us through when we may not know everything that’s going on. All we have is a word of assurance from Him or all we have is the Word of God to assure us, but sometimes that Word goes before the action that God takes. He has certainly taken action, and we are so grateful for it.

I just want to share an announcement, and it is a game changer for us. We are getting ready to do something new, something different. We will still be involved in a lot of the things that we are currently involved in. First, before I give you that announcement, I’m going to share a little bit of Scripture.

Game Changer

I want to you see what’s happening in the life of Paul. It is always a good thing for us to go back and explore his strategies, but something happened when he was in Corinth which is right beside Athens. It changed the way he operated. It was the first time this happened to him, and for him it was a game changer.

One night the Lord said to Paul in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent; for I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to harm you, for there are many in this city who are my people.” – Acts 18.9-10, NRSV

I could go into sermon after sermon on this, or do a major series on it. However, right now this message has ministered to me since about February. Sometimes we don’t always know why the Word of the Lord comes across to us so strongly, but there are times when it does, and we have no explanation for it.

The Word of God sometimes comes to us before the answer does, and this was certainly the case for us. So we have been trying to seek God’s heart and trying to determine what He wants us to do. We live in the Long Lake-Lake Ann area and our heart has not changed for the Grand Traverse Region that we are part of.

As we have sought the Lord, we have set up a nonprofit known as JC Ingle, Inc. Through that nonprofit I’m able to do supervised counseling of all types, including marriage and family therapy.

I’ve been practicing in cooperative agreements with churches. As a minister, I love counseling in churches. I believe it’s good for people to go into a church, just for a different type of atmosphere as they receive counseling.

Through JC Ingle, Inc. I’m also doing ministry. I’ve been doing pulpit supply and have had the honor of speaking on a lot of Sunday mornings in local congregations.

Game Changer

Sometime in February, God allowed me to read this passage in Acts, work through some material on it, and the whole passage came alive to me. So did everything surrounding it.

The game changer is . . . and I’m going to let our people around here share a little bit more as they want to . . . we are going to be pastoring again here in the region!

We are really looking forward to it. There’s a little marquee down the road announcing it. We’re going to be pastoring in Long Lake!
