nothing new really on Revelation 1-3

nothing new really on Revelation 1-3 June 30, 2021

Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a blessing like this.

I hope you’re having a good week so far. I want to let you know I’m going to be revisiting some of the vlogs that I’ve been putting out there recently, hoping to clarify some things, and maybe make them into a series. Extraneous factors and a diet that I’ve been on have made things a little bit difficult to focus on at times. There’s a lot going on.

I also have some information, like the one in this piece, about Revelation. I’ve kind of wrapped my mind around what’s going on according to our doctrine, but we’ll see how that pans out.

Enjoy the brief read,
Rev. Jared

Revelation 1

God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near. Revelation 1.3

Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a blessing like this.

We all want a timeline or sequence of events for the Last Days. I wish I could take time to study and teach about how the Primitive Church views Revelation. Probably every age and culture has thought these events were being fulfilled in their time. Nevertheless, here is where we get our timeline in my faith tribe.

In Revelation 1 (particularly verses 9-16) of John’s 1st vision of Christ, Jesus is in a glorified form; very majestic. It’s important because it shows this is not a history book. Jesus is alive ministering to the churches.

Revelation 2-3

Throughout Revelation 2-3 Jesus speaks to 7 churches in that time through letters. These letters are very specific, but they also hold applications for us. They can be viewed as prophecy because they’re for all of us for all time, but there’s another way to view them.

Some view these letters as descriptions of 7 great ages of the church. The church will pass through 7 great ages up until the Last Days. So there are two main ways to view these prophetic words about the church, and there may be more.

Revelation 4 marks a tremendous shift for a number of reasons, so (if our Lord wills) I will continue this series later.
