” …You know what I always say, ‘Make potatoes and a man shows up!'”

i. Oh really? Let’s work on that and warm it up a little bit

Of course, on my health journey I would like to know if the potatoes idea could work with red potatoes. For some terrible reason, I’m craving a root beer float from A&W. I don’t even drink, unless under the umbrella…
of a liturgical communion, which is good but not really for me since 2020.

I start to read these background bios. I’m not sure everyone can track like I can because I took a lot of undergrad courses that were writing-intensive/journalistic, editorial, or grad prep focus (i.e. world religions and English Literature from a lady nun with a research doctorate who was beyond brilliant). My most recent graduate library is still open to me in accordance with L.S.O.T. and Manchester, maybe even Edinburgh, but I don’t think N.T. Wright is still there is he?

There’s another stateside library I can’t remember where William Kay is, closer to north central England last I checked. Leslie Francis is over on the east side somewhere near the tims (I mean Thames River). It’s like the Narnia mantra, Aslan is a lion, but he’s not a pet yet. Or was it he’s not a not a tims lion? Or was it the Monty Python sub-series within the series, no one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition? Now some of the tutors are John Christopher Thomas and Frank Macchia, and one other who helps with social scientific and Theological inquiries of all sorts.

I’m not sure about Fuller (the Harvard of the West) closer to Connecticut than England. I taught an educational conference for a regional leader, Paulus Taylor around 2005-ish. Have wanted to head back, maybe up the coast to Maine, to see some of those coastal villages, and who doesn’t like the grotto? There is a Fuller branch, or there used to be, a little closer up HWY-101, and I could have done it all there. Yes it was a little further south than Pfieffer State Beach, somewhere I don’t remember being with others.

ii. I would have no problem commuting

This is a great song from the same era and literally, I can’t hardly use double entendre with driving because I love it so much. Has anyone ever been to Laguna Seca for grand prix or motorcycle racing? Neither have I, just a concert weekend. I won’t go into the lore of streetbikes and motocross I rode in a couple areas of the nation growing up and as a man.

iii. Tiffany Reed, one of the Starbucks Supervisors I know would chat with me in Ashland

She knew a lot of those people I rode with, and she was in actual competitions with them. She asked if she could talk to them all. From time to time, she would often offer me information I didn’t already know. I was gifted a picture from the Laguna Seca events, a Faithful and True backlit lithograph by artist Jason Napier. It is on my favorite Passage. I read the Book cover to cover shortly after my conversion at 4 years old in Santa Rosa, because of the blessing at the beginning distinctly for reading it.

Some research doctorates outrank others. Some could be honorary but I don’t think we really do honorary doctorates any more do we? Paul Smith who may still be doing free lance work under the microscope of the A.G., assured me I was in a major university system. I’m older now, so I won’t pull a punch like James Harris III (D.Phil. Wales, well-respected by Jeff Fulks) who can be frank. The top U.K. doctorate is a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) is it not, and you have to be a natural-born citizen to receive it don’t you? Anything anywhere else in the world is a counterfeit.

iv. Okay, enough about “the man”

I wonder what the lady thinks now after the 2019 UMC Convention that took a good turn, according to the governing documents in my Fellowship. I will also say my fellowship would be grateful for the delegations from Russia and Africa who swayed the convention. As far as I know those who dissented can now buy out their church properties and holdings on some type of 30/70 percent structure.

In related news…

I can’t find the clip on YouTube from the first pilot shows I remember (even though it’s owned by Google, and it’s the world’s largest search engine) with the line, “Don’t CARE anymore!”

It would be good to remember the whole context before sharing.
Game show.
Host really fast at reading the contestants after asking them a little about themselves, making everybody laugh, like he’s wearing an over the ear or a cochlear, of something like it, just for the fun of it. Some people can deliver long talks with a live-feed.
One contestant really as slow as a turtle to share or divulge personal information.
The host keeps exhibiting active listening skills but it’s taking what seems like years to find out about about this particular contestant.
Raunchy lingo BTW.
I haven’t watched the show in years.
Outside my purveyance, could be BBC IDK

v. Let me interject

I am truly trained with counseling psychology (and in dialogue with church leaders about development projects for at-risk youth like building gyms) to NOT be shocked with language, or really anything about a past or perceived past.
People lie, not necessarily the periodico.
As with contact, we all used to respond, “THX for asking,” if a client went so far as to pat us on the shoulder.
I’m not sure how everyone is keeping their distance after some of the fallout about the same time as the changing of the the guard/s(?)

That being said, there are true work personalities people assume, almost rites of passage in various industries as well. Who knows in acting. I’ve never seen anything more than basic trailers and then Mary Poppins and Jungle Cruise (which I actually like a lot more than Mary Poppins).

vi. Puppet UP! is the show I’ve been talking about

There was a game show scene early on
The whole thing is fictional… I guess, perhaps some sort of reality TV
If I remember, it’s loosely related to the Muppets via Ron Howard. I could be way off. You know, Paul Giamatti’s supporting actress’ real life dad from Lady in the Water.
The game show host is hilarious!
Would NOT have made a good group therapist if he were at Stanford trained by Irwin Yalom.
However, he would have enjoyed the Evangel (on the aGts side) vans trip up towards KC on Hwy-13 somewhere (I imagine) to the Albert Ellis educational conference because it IS like REBT if I remember correctly.

vii. If not, then THAT’s Image result for 100 emoji on me…

The people in the above linx and their lives are real/reel

I probably shouldn’t say this but I found Harrison Ford once through the membership satellite system at Sam’s’; his personal address on the south side of the grapevine overlooking the LA basin in those hoods across I-5 from Azusa Pacific.

True story.

Pretty sure too, even though “real name” and “reel name” doesn’t mean the actor’s given name, families of origin names, or even “Christian name,” etc.

It probably doesn’t matter. Morning prayers today (revisiting them now for edits). Watched Jungle Cruse anoche.

It doesn’t matter I guess.

News can happen at any moment.

You’re probably never going to get rid of that.

vii. Ah, the rhetoric

I also wonder if Emily from the UMC likes Twinings.

It’s like tattoos on a quarterback’s arm under sweatband, and it’s on the record in the playbook openly now…

Or one of the oldest tease from England if I can keep the word play going…

Maybe a rarer phenom that used to be more apparent at places like Circus Vargus, something like identical twins rarely seen a the same time, maybe triplets or family relations, who look a lot closer to the original actress than stuntwomen.

Eric and Danielle Foutz trained me a little in the gels at the theatre at Bethany, under Danny Alpher and Faith. It’s amazing how deceptive a little lighting (or light that is actually dark) can be.

ix. Dr. Choi literally wrote The…

and I do mean THE…

dissertation on all the words for sanctification, perfection, holiness, etc.

There are over 3,000 words that John Wesley wrote alone, not to mention all his compatriots:

Charles Wesley

John Fletcher, their protogè who was tracking tongues-speak (am I saying that right?). Here are some related Passages, but I have published on it as well quiet extensively…
still being held in my fellowship’s archives

CLIQUÈ bait

The Aldersgate Movement of couse which I still track on FB

George Whitefield who Jonathan Edwards brought over for a preaching tour up there on the Eastern Seaboard…
I’ve heard Emily is acquainted with the region.

It seems like she once reviewed one of my contributions in the academie in person, dropping into another course, reading intently, then turned to her right because she was seated.

I was looking for another seat because the new session was about to begin for me.

x. She asked frankly, “Now what do you think of that?”

I didn’t know what to say. So I started tentatively saying that in my fist masters, I was never trained to develop research in the 1st person.

She said that is not so in Theology. You’re doing great research but you’re getting graded down because you’re holding back from who you are. For instance, we all really want to hear about your experiences in both fields where you are still serving…
Yeah…
We really do…
Because we all haven’t had the cross-training you have in your two fields…

At this point (and I’m paraphrasing because it IS about the same time as the Ellis-ian gameshow circa 12 years ago).

I was getting uncomfortable.

She is so diplomatic though, never as bloody forthright as some classes that resemble Zulu…
and expatriates…
or people who need to be repatriated…
or veterans or veternarians JK…
I can’t stand watching movies with some of these people although I do learn a lot about the actual backstories. The reason I can’t stand it is because it’s a little gruesome when you learn some of those movies are actual footage, not too great…

xi. Wasn’t a big fan of Tora, Tora, Tora for the same reasons, a little closer to home…

Is there a battle at hand now in this conversation with Choi? To paraphrase the rationale of Voltaire in an Orthodox fashion with added emphasis, “I think not!”

Just a little line of questioning, as if..
I could have lunch with Dr. Choi today…
Even though it might still be easier for me to call ahead and meet at her office for takeout…
Than it would be for me to locate Harrison Ford again, and yet…

“‘Make potatoes…
and a man shows up!'”

As Wendell Buell used to say, and he was good as a perceptive military cook who also could interrogate if necessary: “I’m not sure if that’s all there is to it…”
