The Quiet

noise

noise

noise

i feel it

i read it

i hear it

i know it

then it stops

i am lonely again

The Things Above

thud! the walls are closing in

help! there is no way out

stop! tomorrow is gone

leave! the judgment is here

look to the things above you say

what about all the destruction today

you say compassion they say condemnation

you say kindness they say hate

you say humility they say pride

you say gentleness they say force

you say patience they say now

coming again in glory

give me a break

where were you then

where are you know

where will you be

fires

murders

executions

earthquakes

rapes

famines

poverty

genocides

if you love us…

we can’t wait forever

perhaps we need to take matters into our own hands

for now the things above will suffice

for then we need you

amen

Time

you are not real

now is then and then is now

watches are handcuffs

you will not imprison my soul

i will simply be

me

The Ascension

you left us

where did you go

we needed you

we are now orphans

why did you leave us

the spirit doesn’t feel like your touch

I put down my pad and look to the colors of your incarnation.

Amen.
