Jesus was giving a talk at a local hotspot when a couple of pastors showed up. Unable to stomach the words they were hearing, the pastors demanded, “This all sounds like new age mumbo jumbo. What are you really saying? What is the core of your message?” Slowly moving toward the questioners, Jesus replied, “Those of you who think you are religious especially need to listen up. God is God. We are to love God with all that we are. You can’t love God and treat your neighbor like shit. God is in us. How can you love the God within you and hate the God in your neighbor? God is not shit. Love your neighbor. There are no words greater than these.” One of the pastors got it and replied, “You are right. I feel and know it deep within me. Love is the way. Love is the truth. Love is the only path to life.” Singling out the pastor, Jesus replied, “You are drawing close to the realm of God.” The room was silent.
