So every month, I sit down with Luke Norsworthy, the host of the podcast Newsworthy with Norsworthy to talk about the interviews he had that month, and about all the mistakes he made doing them.
This past month, it feels like society really fell apart, racial division is growing more and more pronounced, violent shootings, police brutality, and subsequent retaliations has everyone on high alert, and the political climate feels like a tinder bed waiting to blow up, and to top it all off, Taylor Swift is back on bad terms with Kayne and Kim.
So this month Luke interviewed some black men about their experience of being black in America. Both of these guys have a lot of integrity and are accomplished in their different roles (Sean has an ESPN radio show) and Fate is a pastor in Southern California. Hearing their stories are powerful reminders for someone like me that not all of us live in the same country, even when we live in the same place.
Luke also interviewed both Ian Cron and Suzanne Stabile about the Enneagram, and their great new podcast (which I recommend if you are at all interested in the Enneagram) and talked with another preacher friend, Wade Hodges, about his personal/social experiment trying out stand up comedy all of July.
Spoiler Alert: Luke learned that self-deprecating humor works the best, and I learned that Luke has a lot of stand-up material untapped. To check out Luke’s podcast and some of his great interviews you can go here.
