This is my opening lecture from the 2016 Just and Sinner Christ, Culture, and the Two Kingdoms conference. The lecture is titled, “Escondido Theology: An Evaluation and Critique.” In this lecture, I outlined the Reformed two kingdom school of thought and compared it to Luther’s two kingdom distinction. I argued that these systems of thought are not consistent with one another, but present vastly different approaches to the two kingdom paradigm. A high quality video recording of the lecture should be available soon.
Also, listen to my breakout session which deals with similar topics drawing upon this first lecture.
