On Friday, I dropped by the house/set for Hallmark Channel’s daily talk/magazine show “Home & Family,”  at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, with hosts Cristina Ferrare and Mark Steines, to catch up with some old friends — the cast of one of my favorite, and most-missed shows, “Clean House.”

Airing from 2003-2011 on the now-defunct Style Network, “Clean House” came to a cluttered home, helped the residents part with their excess junk, sold it at a yard sale Home-Family-Hallmark-Clean-Houseand then helped them remodel and redecorate — and, with any luck, change their cluttering ways.

Matt Iseman, the show’s “go-to guy,” is now a regular on “Home & Family” — along with being co-host of NBC/Esquire’s competition show “American Ninja Warrior,” currently filming a new season to air this summer — so his new TV family got to meet his original TV family.

Joining Iseman on the show, which airs at 10 a.m. ET, are former “Clean House” host Niecy Nash, “yard-sale” diva (and Catholic!) Trish Suhr and interior designer Mark Brunetz.

The quartet got “the band back together,” as Iseman put it, to help the show’s propmaster organize his storage/work shed, and the results are nothing short of amazing.

During a break in taping, Brunetz said the last time the four had worked together was on the final episode four years before, but had been “in and out of each other’s lives,” for various personal events.

Asked about what it was like to come back together on a project, Brunetz said, “What’s this like? Very comfortable, I have to tell you.”

“Very familiar,” said Iseman.

“Like time just went like that …” said Brunetz.

By the way, if you’re looking for good, clean entertainment during the day, get to know “Home & Family.”
