Mary always teaches us about patience, kindness and love.

Like her, all women have the innate ability to nurture things, whether it’s a business, students, friends, relatives, a garden, their own children or even the children of complete strangers. And when a woman finds that in herself, it’s truly beautiful.

From a TV station near my hometown comes a lovely story about a nurse who forever changed the life of a suffering child:

And what happened next …

And then, here’s the story of a woman who helped a struggling soldier’s wife, from LittleThings.com:

or the first time ever, an Alabama mom named Rebekka booked a flight with her new baby girl, all by herself. Needless to say, she was anxious about the trip and worried about having to manage her baby and all of their belongings. The destination was worth the stress, though — Rebekka and her daughter, Rylee, were off to surprise Dad who works as a firefighter in the US Army.

Rebekka boarded her 5:30 a.m. flight, but it didn’t take long for things to go downhill. Not only was the plane quiet and crowded, but Rylee started fussing and crying before the plane even began to taxi. To make matters worse, she was already getting strange looks from the passengers seated around her. The stress began to build, and Rebekka tried everything she could to calm her baby down.

But fate would have its way, and something happened on the plane that completely restored this new mom’s faith in strangers.

Click here to read how the kind woman in the next seat made all the difference.

And here’s the complete image of the painting above, Madonna and Child (1610), by Italian artist Artemisia Gentileschi (herself the mother of a daughter).
