Perfect Light, Perfect Love

All anxieties are cast away at the foot of the Cross. Christ conquered all evil on the Cross. What else is there to fear? What else is there to worry about?

That’s the constant reminder, for a fervent prayer: that every Mass ought to bring us into a deeper union in this great mystery.

Sin and death is a daily struggle but as long as we remember Christ never leaves us alone, as formidable of daily life may seem, He does not leave us to live it without Him. Offering him every thought, Word, deed, and tweet, we can be His light. If we make Him our one and true Light, asking Him to make us like him, as He proposed:

Longing for light, we wait in darkness. Longing for truth, we turn to you. Make us your own, your holy people, light for the world to see.

Christ be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.

Longing for peace, our world is troubled. Longing for hope, many despair. Your word alone has pow’r to safe us. Make us your living voice.
