How to Unite Christians, Muslims, and Jews

How to Unite Christians, Muslims, and Jews May 30, 2015

Christians, Muslims, and Jews professedly believe in one God. And most of them believe there are no other gods. That is why Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are identified as “the three monotheistic religions of the world.” All three are based upon a sacred text: the Christian Bible for Christians (Old and New Testaments), the Qur’an for Muslims, and the Jewish/Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) for Jews. Muslims respect the Christian Bible, though they allege it suffers from corruptions introduced in its transmission process. Thus, the Qur’an often calls both Christians and Jews “people of the Book.”

So, these three religions have a lot in common. Although nearly all Christians are Gentiles, Christians and Jews have the same sacred text–the Old Testament–except Christians add the New Testament. Jesus, whom Christians worship, was a Jew. And all writers of the Bible, except Luke, were Jews. All three religions believe in the concept of the Messiah of Israel. As for the Qur’an, it mentions Jesus 25 times, and always honorably except denying he is God. It affirms Jesus’ virgin birth, sinlessnes, miracles, messiahship, heavenly ascension, future return, and that he will be the judge on judgement day. The Qur’an seems to present Jesus as being greater than Muhammed, though both as prophets.

Christians and Jews agree that they, intellectually at least, worship the same God–the God of creation and of the Jewish Bible. But do Muslims worship that God? Many think they don’t. But people need to understand that the Muslim practice of calling God “Allah” does not necessarily indicate, intellectually at least, that they worship a god other than the God of the Bible. For “allah” is the Arabic word for “God/god,” and the Qur’an constantly interchanges the words “Allah” and “God.” Many Christians do not even know the name of the God of the Hebrew Bible–which is YHWH/YHVH and can be written Yahweh or Yehvah–even though it appears nearly 7,000 times in the Hebrew Bible!

Even though these three religions have a lot in common, they remain very divided. I think they could become significantly united by each of them changing one particular element of their belief system. It would be three tradeoffs that would result in a compromise. Each element that would be changed is most important to one or both of the other religions. What are these three beliefs? Christians would give up believing in their doctrine of the Trinity and that Jesus is God, Muslims would give up believing Jesus did not die on the cross, and Jews would give up believing Jesus was a false Messiah. Of course, it would help these religions to make these changes while in dialogue with each other. And Christians would also want Muslims and Jews to go father by believing Jesus atoned for the sins of the others, and God verfied this and Jesus’ Messiahship by raising him from the dead.

Nearly all Christians believe in what they call “the doctrine of the Trinity.” In the English language, it means God is one essence existing as three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Trinitarian Christians claim these three persons of a supposed Godhead are co-equal and co-eternal. Yet Trinitarians deny that these three persons of the one Godhead constitute three gods.

Muslims and Jews generally allege that Christians are polytheistic because they believe in the doctrine of the Trinity, which they think indicates three gods. Muslims and Jews think it is folly for Christians to assert that three equals one, that is, that the three persons constitute one God. Actually, the Christian Bible states repeatedly that God is one; it never expressly states that God is three persons; and it does not contain the word “trinity” much less so describe God. Thus, Christians arguably would not be going against their sacred text if they gave up believing in their doctrine of the Trinity, which was formulated over a period of centuries by church fathers by means of the ecumenical councils and creeds.

Muslims view their Qur’an largely as a corrective revelation. The main thing they think it corrects is the Christians’ doctrine of the Trinity. The Qur’an repeatedly denounces Christian belief in a triune God. And Jews reject Christian interpretations of their Bible as indicating God is a Trinity. The Qur’an says in Sura 5:73, “Unbelievers are those who say, ‘God is one of three.’ There is but one God.” And Sura 4:171 says, “People of the Book, do not transgress the bounds of your religion. Speak nothing but the truth about God. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was no more than God’s apostle and His Word … So believe in God and his apostles and do not say: ‘Three.’ Forbear, and it shall be better for you. God is but one God. God forbid that he should have a son!” Muhammed meant God did not give birth to another God, comparable to human procreation. So, Muhammed denied that Jesus was the Son of God. It likely was because Christians he knew were confused on this. Similarly, the Qur’an denies that Jesus is God. Twice it says, “Unbelievers are those who declare/that say, ‘God is the Messiah, the son of Mary'” (Sura 5:16, 72).

So, the Qur’an denies Jesus’ death by asserting, “They declared: ‘We have put to death the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the apostle of God.’ But they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but they thought they did'” (Sura 4:157). Qur’an scholars usually say the last clause in this last sentence means something like, “he was made to resemble another for them.” They say someone else was crucified and died who looked like Jesus. Some Gnostics asserted this long before Muhammed lived. Obviously, Muslims cannot believe in Jesus’ resurrection from the dead if they do not believe he died. The Qur’an says of the Jews and Jesus, “They did not slay him for certain. God lifted him up to Him” (Sura 4:158). So, the Qur’an affirms the heavenly ascension of Jesus, yet denies his death and resurrection.

Muslims further claim that God would not have allowed his prophet to undergo such torture and defeat by his enemies such as being crucified. But the Apostle Paul says God told him, “my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor 12.9). Thus, the Bible’s last book, Revelation, presents Jesus as “the Lamb of God” who died but now lives in heaven and will come again in the future to the earth with much power and glory to defeat his enemies and establish his kingdom (Rev 6.16-17; 17.14; 19.11-21).

Many people think the main theological difference between Christians and Jews is that Christians believe Jesus of Nazareth was, and is, Israel’s Messiah, and Jews deny this. But that is a secondary disagreement. The foremost theological disagreement between Jews and Christians is that Jews say God is one person, thus denying the Christian docrine of the Trinity, that God is three persons. So, ideologically, it is easier for Jews to consider that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel than it is for them to consider that Jesus actually is God, as nearly all Christians insist. Yet the many sayings of Jesus in the New Testament gospels reveal that he (1) never identified himself as “God,” (2) affirmed the Shema (Deut. 6.4), that God is numerically “one” (Mark 12.28-34), and (3) constantly distinguished himself from God.

So, (1) if Christians would quit believing God is triune, thus believing only the Father is God so that Jesus is not God, (2) if Muslims would believe Jesus died on the cross for their sins and God raised him from the dead, (3) if Jews would believe Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and their risen Savior, I think they all would be right, the world would be a better place, and we’d all be God’s truly monotheistic people headed for glory! Is this possible? Or am I living in fantasyland, having a pipe dream or something?

You ‘re having a pipe dream. Jews believe that Jesus was not the Messiah, who committed blasphemy and was rightfully put to death They believe you have to keep the law of Moses to make it into heaven. Christians believe Jesus is the Messiah, Son of God, who died on the cross to pay for their sins and was raised from the death. They believe that faith in- and the grace of God brings you into heaven. Muslims were told by Allah that Jesus did not die at all andwas a lesser prophet compared to Mohammed. They believe that you may or may not get into heaven by doing the 5 pillars or get a pass by dying during the Jihad.
When a Jew had to accept that Jesus is the Messiah, he defacto becomes a Christian. When a Muslim had to accept that Jesus died on the cross, he had to abandon Allah and his Quran, because Allah turned out to be a liar. When a chrsitian had to give up the believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity, he stops being a Christian.
The fact of the matter is; those believes are incompatible and at maximum only one of those believes is true.

      1) Jews believe that Jesus was not Messiah. According to ( Deut. 18:18 – 19)

I will raise them up a Prophet fromamong their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
This is Prophet is referred to Mohammad ( PBUH) not to Jesus ( Peace be upon him)

Muhammad is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon 5:16. The Hebrew word
used there is Mahammuddim the end letters IM is a plural of respect, majesty and grandeur Minus ‘im’ the word would be Muhammad translates as “altogether lovely” in the Authorised Version of the Bible or ‘The Praised One’ – ‘the one worthy of praise i.e. MUHAMMAD!

Prophet Like Moses in (Deut. 18:18 –19)

      1) Father & Mother “Moses had a father and a mother. Muhammad also had a father and a mother. But Jesus had only a mother, and no human father. Is this true?” “Therefore Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses!”

      2) Miraculous Birth “Moses and Muhammad were born in the normal,
natural course, i.e. the physical association of man and woman; but Jesus
was created by a special miracle You will recall that we are told in the
Gospel of St Matthew 1: 18.”
“Therefore Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses!”

      3) Jesus Rejected by his People “Moses and Muhammad were accepted as prophets by their people in their own lifetime. No doubt the Jews gave endless trouble to Moses and they murmured in the wilderness. But as a nation, they cknowledged that Moses was a Messenger of God sent to them. The Arabs too made uhammad’s life impossible. He suffered very badly at their hands. After 13 years of preaching in Makkah, he had to emigrate from the city of his birth. But before his demise, the Arab nation as a whole accepted him as the Messenger of Allah. But according to the Bible – ‘HE (Jesus) CAME UNTO HIS OWN, BUT HIS OWN RECEIVED HIM NOT’ (John 1:11). And even today, after two thousand years, his people – the Jews, as a whole, haverejected him. “Therefore Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses!”

      4) Other – Worldly” Kingdom “Moses and Muhammad were prophets as well as kings. By prophet I mean a man who receives Divine Revelation for the Guidance of Man and this Guidance he conveys to God’s creatures as received without any addition or deletion. A king is a person who has the power of life and death over his people. It is immaterial whether the person wears a crown or not, or whether he was ever addressed as king or monarch: if the man has the prerogative of inflicting capital punishment – HE IS A KING. Moses ossessed such a power. Do you remember the Israelite who was found picking up firewood on Sabbath Day, and Moses had him stoned to death? (Numbers 15:36). There are other crimes also mentioned in the Bible for which capital punishment was inflicted on the Jews at the behest of Moses.
Muhammad, too, had the power of life and death over his people. There are instances in the Bible of persons who were given gift of prophecy only, but they were not in a position to implement their directives. Some of these holy men of God who were helpless in the face of stubborn rejection of their message were the prophets Lot, Jonah, Daniel, Ezra, and John the Baptist. They could only deliver the
message, but could not enforce the Law. The Holy Prophet Jesus unfortunately also belonged to this category. The Christian Gospel clearly confirms this: when Jesus was dragged before the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate, charged for sedition, Jesus made a convincing point in his defence to refute the false charges: JESUS ANSWERED, ‘MY KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD’: “IF MY KINGDOM WERE OF THIS WORLD, THEN
WOULD MY SERVANTS FIGHT, THAT I SHOULD NOT BE DELIVERED TO THE JEWS; BUT NOW IS
MY KINGDOM NOT FROM HENCE” (John 18.36). This convinced Pilate (a Pagan) that
though Jesus might not be in full possession of his mental faculty, he did not
strike him as being a danger to his rule.
Jesus claimed a spiritual kingdom only; in other words he only claimed
to be a prophet “Therefore Jesus is not
like Moses but Muhammad is like Moses.”

      5)
      No New Laws “Moses and
Muhammad brought new laws and new regulations for their people. Moses not only gave the Ten Commandments to
the Israelites, but a very comprehensive ceremonial law for the guidance of his
people. Muhammad comes to a people
steeped in barbarism and ignorance. The fact is that Muhammad gave his people a
Law and Order they never had before. “As
regards Jesus, when the Jews felt suspicious of him that he might be an
impostor with designs to pervert their teachings, Jesus took pains to assure
them that he had not come with a new
religion – no new laws and no new regulations. I quote his own words ‘THINK NOT THAT I AM COME TO DESTROY THE LAW,
OR THE PROPHETS: I AM NOT COME TO DESTROY BUT TO FULFIL. FOR VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, TILL HEAVEN AND
EARTH PASS, ONE JOT OR ONE TITTLE SHALL IN NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, TILL ALL
BE FULFILLED’ (Matthew 5:17-18) In other words he had not come with
any new laws or regulations; he came only to fulfil the old law. “Therefore
Jesus is not like Moses but Muhammad is like Moses.”

      6)
How they Departed : “Both Moses and Muhammad died natural deaths, but
      according to Christianity,
      Jesus was violently
      killed on the
      cross. “Therefore Jesus is not
like Moses but Muhammad is like Moses”

      7)
      Heavenly Abode
      “Moses and Muhammad
      both lie buried
in earth, but according to you, Jesus
rests in heaven “Therefore Jesus is not like Moses but
      Muhammad is like Moses.”

So far what I have done is to prove
only one point out of the whole prophecy – that is proving the phrase LIKE UNTO
THEE’ – ‘like you’ – ‘like Moses’. The prophecy is much more than this single
phrase which reads as follows: “I WILL RAISE THEM UP A PROPHET FROM AMONG

      THEIR BRETHREN LIKE UNTO
THEE…” The emphasis is on the words –
      ‘From among their brethren.’

Ishmael The First Born : Moses and
his people, the Jews, are here addressed as a racial entity, and as such their
‘brethren’ would undoubtedly be the Arabs. You see, the Holy Bible speaks of
Abraham as the “Friend of God”. Abraham
had two wives – Sarah and Hagar. Hagar bore Abraham a son – HIS FIRST BORN – ,
And Abraham called HIS SON’S name, which Hagar bore, Ishmael.’ (Genesis
16:15) ‘And Abraham took Ishmael HIS
SON.’ (Genesis 17:23).‘And Ishmael HIS SON
was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.’ (Genesis 17:25). Up to the age of THIRTEEN Ishmael was the
ONLY son and seed of Abraham when the covenant was ratified between God and
Abraham, God grants Abraham another son through Sarah, named Isaac, who was
very much the junior to his brother Ishmael.

      Arabs and Jews

      If
Ishmael and Isaac are the sons of
the same father Abraham, then they are brothers. And so the children of the one are the
BRETHREN of the other. The children of
Isaac are the Jew and the children of Ishmael are the Arabs – So they are
BRETHREN to one another. The Bible
affirms. “AND HE (ISHMAEL) SHALL DWELL
IN THE PRESENCE OF ALL HIS BRETHREN.’
      (Genesis 16:12). AND HE (ISHMAEL)
DIED IN THE PRESENCE OF ALL HIS BRETHREN.’
      (Genesis 25:18). The children of
Isaac are the brethren of the Ishmaelites.
In like manner Muhammad is from among the brethren of the Israelites
because he was a descendant of Ishmael the son of Abraham. This is exactly as the prophecy has it ‘FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN’. (Deut. 18:18). Here the prophecy distinctly mentions that
the coming prophet who would be like Moses, must arise NOT from the ‘children
of Israel’ or from ‘among themselves’, but from among their brethren. MUHAMMAD THEREFORE WAS FROM AMONG THEIR
      BRETHREN!

      Words in the Mouth

      The prophecy proceeds further, “AND
I WILL PUT MY WORDS INTO HIS MOUTH…”
What does it mean when it is said ‘I will put my words into your
mouth?’ You see, when I asked you to
open Deuteronomy, chapter 18, verse 18, at the beginning, and if I had asked
you to read, and if you had read: would
I be putting words into your mouth? “No”
But, “If I were to teach you a language like Arabic about which you have no
knowledge, and if I asked you to read or repeat after me what I utter i.e. QUL HUW-ALLAHU AHAD’6 SAY: HE IS ALLAH THE ONE AND ONLY; ALLAHU-SAMAD’ ALLAH, THE ETERNAL ABSOLUTE; LAM YALID WA LAM
YOOLAD’ HE BEGETTETH NOT, NOR IS HE
BEGOTTEN; WA LAM YAKUN LAHU KUFUWAN AHAD’…
AND THERE IS NONE LIKE UNTO HIM. (Holy Qur’an 112:1-4) For the benefit
of non-Arabic readers transliterated the actual Arabic words of the Holy Qur’an
      – Publisher.

“Would I not be putting these
unheard words of a foreign tongue which you utter, into your mouth?” that it was indeed so. In an identical manner, I
      said, the words of the
      Holy Qur’an, the
Revelation vouchsafed by the Almighty God to Muhammad, were revealed.
History tells us that Muhammad was forty years of age. He was in a cave some three miles north of
the City of Makkah. It was the 27th
night of the Muslim month of Ramadaan.
In the cave the Archangel Gabriel commands him in his mother tongue:
IQRA’ which means READ! or PROCLAIM! or RECITE! Muhammad
is terrified and in his bewilderment replies:
“MAANABI-QARIN’ which means: I AM NOT LEARNED! The angel commands
him a second time with the same result.
For the third time the angel continued: ‘IQRA BISMI RABBIKA-LLADHI
KHALAQ’. Now, Muhammad grasps, that what was required of him was to repeat! to
rehearse! And he repeats the words as
they were put into his mouth!

      IQRA BISMIRABRIKA-LLADHI KHALAQ’ READ!
IN THE NAME OF THY LORD AND CHERISHER,
      WHO CREATED ‘KHAILAQA-L-INSANA
MIN ALAQ’ CREATED MAN FROM A (MERE) CLOT
      OF CONGEALED BLOOD; ‘IQRA WA
RABBUKA-L-AKRAM’ READ! – AND THY LORD
IS MOST BOUNTIFUL – ALLADHI ALLAMA
BI-L-QALAM’ HE WHO-TAUGHT (THE USE OF)
THE PEN – ALLAMA-L-INSANA MA LAM YA
LAM’ TAUGHT MAN THAT WHICH HE KNEW NOT
(Holy Qur’an 96:1-5) These are the first five verses which were revealed to
Muhammad which now occupy the beginning of the 96th chapter of the Holy Qur’an.

      The Faithful Witness Immediately
the angel had departed, Muhammad rushed to his home. Terrified and sweating all over he asked his
beloved wife Khadija to ‘cover him up’.
He lay down, and she watched by him.
      When he had regained his
composure, he explained to her what he had seen and heard. She assured him of her faith in him and that Allah would
      not allow such
      terrible things to happen
to him. Are these the confessions
of an impostor? Would impostors confess that when an angel of the Lord
confronts them with a message from on High, they get fear stricken, terrified,
and sweating all over, run home to their wives? Any critic can see that his
reactions and confessions are that of an honest, sincere man, the man of Truth
      – ‘AL AMIN’ – THE Honest, the Upright, the Truthful. During the
      next twenty-three years
of his prophetic life, words were ‘put into his
mouth’, and he uttered them. They made
an indelible impression on his heart and mind: and as the volume of the Sacred
Scripture (Holy Qur’an) grew, they were recorded on palm-leaf fibre, on skins
and on the shoulder blades of animals, and in the hearts of his devoted
disciples. Before his demise these words
were arranged in the order in which we find them today in the Holy Qur’an. The
words (revelation) were actually put into his mouth, exactly as foretold in the
prophecy under discussion: ‘AND I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH’ (Deut.
      18:18).

      Un-Lettered Prophet

      Muhammad’s
experience in the cave of Hira, later to be known as Jahal-un-Noor – The
      Mountain of Light, and his
      response to that
first Revelation is the exact fulfilment of another Biblical
prophecy. In the Book of Isaiah, chapter
29, verse 12, we read: “AND THE BOOK” (al-Kitaab, al-Qur’an – The ‘Reading’,
the ‘Recitation’) “IS DELIVERED TO HIM THAT IS NOT LEARNED” (an-nabiy al-ummiy)
      the unlettered Prophet, (Holy Qur’an
7:158). “SAYING READ THIS, I PRAY THEE” (the words
‘I pray thee’ are not in the Hebrew
manuscripts: compare with the Roman Catholics “Douay Version” and also with the
      “Revised Standard Versions”) “AND HE
SAITH, I AM NOT LEARNED.” (“I am not learned” is the exact translation
of the words “ma ana bi-qarin” which words Muhammad uttered twice to the Holy
Ghost – the Archangel Gabriel, when he was commanded “IQRA”, “READ!”). Let me
quote the verse without a break as found in the “King James Version”, or the
“Authorised Version” as it is more popularly known: “AND THE BOOK IS DELIVERED
TO HIM THAT IS NOT LEARNED, SAYING, READ THIS, I PRAY THEE: AND HE SAITH, I AM
      NOT LEARNED.” (Isaiah 29:12) It
may be noted that there were no Arabic Bibles in existence
in the 6th Century of the Christian Era
when Muhammad lived and preached! Besides, he was absolutely unlettered and
unlearned. No human had ever taught him
a word. His teacher was his Creator – “HE
DOES NOT SPEAK (AUGHT) OF (HIS OWN) DESIRE; IT IS NO LESS THAN INSPIRATION SENT
DOWN TO HIM; HE WAS TAUGHT BY ONE MIGHTY IN POWER” (Holy Qur’an 53:3-5)

      “How the prophecies fit Muhammad
like a glove. We do not have to stretch
prophecies to justify their fulfilment in Muhammad.”

But as Christian you will say “All
your expositions sound very well, but they are of no real consequence, because
you Christians have Jesus Christ the “incarnate” God, who has redeemed us from
the Bondage of Sin!” I asked, “Not important?”
God didn’t think so! He went to a
great deal of trouble to have His warnings recorded. God knew that there would be people like you
who will flippantly, lightheartedly discount His words, so He followed up
Deuteronomy 18:18 with a dire warning:
“AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS” (it
is going to happen) “THAT WHOSOEVER WILL
NOT HARKEN UNTO MY WORDS WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME I WILL REQUIRE IT OF
HIM” in the Catholic Bible the ending words are – “I will be the
revenger”, – I will take vengeance from him – I will take
      revenge!) “Does not this terrify
      you? God Almighty is threatening
revenge! We shake in our pants when some
hoodlum threatens us yet you have no fear of God’s warning?”

“Miracle of miracles! in the verse 19 of Deuteronomy Chapter 18, we
have further fulfilment of the prophecy of Muhammad! Note the words – ‘… MY WORDS WHICH HE SHALL
SPEAK IN MY NAME.’ “In whose name is
      Muhammad speaking” see the Holy
      Qur’an –
Allama Yusuf Ali’s transla- tion at chapter 114 –
‘Sura Nas’, or Mankind – the last chapter, and showed him the formula at
the head of the chapter; ‘Bismillahi-r-Rahmani-r-Rahim’ and the meaning: “IN
THE NAME OF ALLAH MOST GRACIOUS, MOST MERCIFUL”. And the heading of chapter 113:
‘Bismillahi-r-Rahmani-r-Rahim’ and the meaning: “IN THE NAME OF ALLAH MOST
GRACIOUS, MOST MERCIFUL”. And every chapter
downwards in the quran has the same
formula and the same meaning on every page, because the end SURAS (chapters)
are short and take about a page each. “And what did the prophecy demand? …
WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK ‘IN MY NAME’, and in whose name does Muhammad
speak? ‘IN THE NAME OF ALLAH; MOST
      GRACIOUS, MOST MERCIFUL.” The prophecy
is being fulfilled in Muhammad to the letter! Every chapter of the Holy Qur’an
except the 9th begin with the formula: ‘Bismillahi-r-Rahmanir-Rahim’- ‘IN THE
NAME OF ALLAH MOST GRACIOUS, MOST MERCIFUL’.
The Muslim begins his every lawful act with the Holy formula. But the Christians begin: “In the name of the
Father, son and the Holy ghost.” Concerning Deuteronomy chapter eighteen, I
have given you more than 15 reasons how this prophecy refers to Muhammad and
      NOT to Jesus.

      Baptist Contrdicts Jesus In New
Testament times, we find that the Jews were still expecting the fulfilment of
the propecy of ‘ONE LIKE MOSES’; refer
John 1:19-25. When Jesus claimed to be
the Messiah of the Jews, the Jews began to enquire as to where was Elias? The Jews had a parallel prophecy that before
the coming of the Messiah, Elias must come first in his second coming. Jesus confirms this Jewish belief: “… ELIAS
TRULY SHALL FIRST COME, AND RESTORE ALL THINGS.
BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT ELIAS IS COME ALREADY. AND THEY KNEW HIM NOT,
… THEN THE DISCIPLES UNDERSTOOD THAT HE SPAKE UNTO THEM OF JOHN THE
      BAPTIST.” (Matthew 17:11-13) According
to the New Testament the Jews were not the ones to swallow the words of any
      would-be Messiah. In their
investigations they underwent intense difficulties in order to find their true
Messiah. And this the Gospel of John
confirms “AND THIS IS THE RECORD OF
JOHN” (the Baptist) “WHEN THE JEWS SENT PRIESTS AND LEVITES FROM
JERUSALEM TO ASK HIM, WHO ART THOU? AND
HE CONFESSED AND DENIED NOT; BUT CONFESSED, I AM NOT CHRIST.” (This was only natural because there can’t be
two Messiahs at the same time. If Jesus
was the Christ then John couldn’t be Christ!)
“AND THEY ASKED HIM WHAT THEN? ART THOU ELIAS AND HE SAITH, I AM
NOT.” (Here John the Baptist contradicts
Jesus! Jesus says that John is ‘Elias’
and John denies that he is what Jesus ascribes him to be). One of the TWO (Jesus or John), God forbid!
is definitely not speaking the TRUTH! On
the testimony of Jesus himself, John the Baptist was the greatest of the
Israelite prophets: “VERILY I SAY UNTO
YOU, AMONG THEM THAT ARE BORN OF WOMEN THERE HAS NOT RISEN A GREATER THAN JOHN
      THE BAPTIST…”
(Matthew 11:11) We Muslims know John the Baptist as Hazrat Yahyaa
Alaihi-s-sallam (peace be upon him). We
revere him as a true prophet of Allah.
The Holy Prophet Jesus, known to us as Hazrat ISAA Alaihi-s-sallam
(peace be upon him), is also esteemed as one of the most mightiest messengers
of the Almighty. How can we Muslims impute
lies to either of them? We leave this
problem between Jesus and John for the Christians to solve, for their ‘sacred
      scripture’ abound in discrepancies. We
Muslims are really interested in the last question posed to John the Baptist by
the Jewish elite – “ART THOU THAT PROPHET AND HE ANSWERED, NO.” (John 1:21)

      Three Questions! Please note that
three different and distinct questions were posed to John the Baptist and to
which he gave three emphatic “NO’s” as answers, to recapitulate: (1) Art thou the
Christ? (2) Art thou Elias? (3) Art thou
that prophet? But the learned men of Christendom somehow only see two questions
      implied here. To make
doubly clear that the Jews definitely had T-H-R-E-E
seperate prophecies in their minds when they were interrogating John the
Baptist, let us read the remonstration of the Jews in the verse following –
“AND THEY ASKED HIM, AND SAID UNTO HIM, WHY BAPTIZEST THOU THEN, IF THOU
BE (a) NOT THE CHRIST (b) NOT ELIAS
      (c) NEITHER THAT PROPHET?” (John 1:25) The Jews were waiting for the
fulfilment of THREE distinct prophecies: One, the coming of Christ, Two, the
coming of ELIAS, and Three, the coming of THAT PROPHET. “That Prophet” If we
look up any Bible which has a concordance of cross-reference, then we will find
in the marginal notes where the words “the prophet”, or “that prophet” occur in
John 1:25, that these words refer to the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:15 and
      18. And that the “That Prophet” -’the
prophet like Moses’ – “LIKE UNTO THEE”, we
have proved through overwhelming evidence that he was
      MUHAMMAD and not Jesus!

We Muslims are not denying that
Jesus was the ‘Messiah’, which word is translated as ‘Christ’. We are not
contesting the ‘thousand and one prophecies’which the Christians claim abound
in the Old Testament foretelling the coming of the Messiah. What we say is that Deuteronomy 18:18 does
NOT refer to Jesus Christ but it is an explicit prophecy about the Holy Prophet
      MUHAMMAD.

      The Acid Test

To the Christians I say, why not
apply that acid test which Christ himself wanted you to apply to any would be
claimant to prophet hood? He had
said: “BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW
THEM. DO MEN GATHER GRAPES FROM THE
THORNS, OR FIGS FROM THE THISTLES? EVERY
GOOD TREE WILL BEAR GOOD FRUIT AND EVERY EVIL TREE WILL BEAR EVIL FRUIT
… BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW
THEM.” (Matthew 7:16-20) Why are you
afraid to apply this test to the teachings of Muhammad? You will find in the Last Testament of God –
the Holy Qur’an – the true fulfilment of the teachings of Moses and Jesus which
will bring to the world the much-needed peace and happiness. “IF A MAN LIKE
MUHAMMAD WERE TO ASSUME DICTATORSHIP OF THE
      MODERN WORLD, HE
      WOULD SUCCEED IN
SOLVING ITS PROBLEMS THAT WOULD BRING IT THE MUCH NEEDED
      PEACE AND HAPPINESS.” (George Bernard
      Shaw)

In conclusion, I end with a
quotation of a Christian Reverend the commentator of the Bible, followed by
that of his Master: “THE ULTIMATE CRITERION OF A TRUE PROPHET IS THE MORAL
CHARACTER OF HIS TEACHINGS.” (Prof. Dummelow) “BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW
      THEM”. (Jesus Christ)

      • kzarley

Mohomed, hardly anyone visiting this blog is interested in reading such long comments you are making. Please keep them shorter or I will have to terminate them.

        • Mohomed Farooque

kzarley but the topic is so intrested that I can,t comments in shot and whatever i made comments every Jews and Christian should know that we Muslim are not Anti Christ, On alone Mohommad authority,
          believe in:
          (1) the miraculous birth of Jesus,
          (2) that Jesus is the Messiah4;
          (3) that he gave life to the dead by God’s permission, and that he healedthose born blind and the lepers by God’s permission.

Surely this book (the Bible) must have something to say about this great Leader of men who spoke so well of Jesus and his mother Mary?”

“THEY (Jews & Christians) HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO HATE
THE MAN MOHAMED AND HIS RELIGION.” But we respect all jews prophets and Jesus Christ, No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not belive in Jesus Christ. and We are more Christian then Christian Who follow all the commends of Mosses and Jesus. We as whole Muslims have the lowest Alcoholic rates, Lowest gambling
rates, Lowest prison rates, lowest devoice rates, Lowest Suicide Rate, and the Highest Charity.

          And again I will repate

“PEOPLE OF THE BOOK” (Jews and the Christians), O Learned People! O
People who claim to be the recipients of Divine Revelation, of a Holy Scripture.

Say ye: “We believe in Allah, And the revelation
given to us, And to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, And that
given to Moses and Jesus And that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: We
make no difference Between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in
Islam).” (SURA BAQARA) Holy Qur’ân 2:136.

          COME LET US REASON TOGETHER

SAY:”O PEOPLE OF THE BOOK! COME TO
COMMON TERMS AS BETWEEN US AND YOU: THAT WE WORSHIP NONE BUT GOD; THAT WE
ASSOCIATE NO PARTNERS WITH HIM; THAT WE ERECT NOT, FROM AMONG OURSELVES, LORDS
AND PATRONS OTHER THAN GOD.” IF THEN THEY TURN BACK, SAY: “BEAR
WITNESS THAT WE (AT LEAST) ARE MUSLIMS (BOWING TO GOD’S WILL).” (SURA
          AL-I-‘IMRAN) Holy Qur’ân 3:64.
This is excatly what the subject says to unite Jews, Christian and Muslim.

          • Michiel de Jong

Well,… in the same way as you are not anti-Christ, I am not anti-Mohammed.
I sincerely believe Mohammed existed, I even consider him to be a very shrewd politician and successful empire builder, that the stories about him and Aisha are true and what he did with the trade caravan of the Meccans and how he treated the Jews in Medina. All true.
But just as you regarding Jesus, I only don’t believe what Mohammed said about himself. For instance being a prophet and how he got the Quran.
But……, I even believe that he actually said it..!

          • Mohomed Farooque

Michiel de Jong Question 1 ) I only don’t believe what Mohammed said about himself.
Question 2) For instance being a prophet and how he got the Quran. But……, I even believe that he actually said it..!

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pBX9Z4jxvI

History tells us that Muhummed was forty years of age. He was in a cave some three miles north of the City of Mecca.
It was the 27th night of the Muslim month of Ramadaan. In the cave the Archangel Gabriel commands him in his mother tongue:
‘IQRA’ which means READ! or PROCLAIM! or RECITE! Muhummed is terrified and in his bewilderment replies ” MA ANA BEQARA which means
I AM NOT LEARNED! The angel commands him a second time with the same result. For the third time the angel continues.
Now Muhummed, grasps, that what was required of him was to repeat! to rehearse! And he repeats the words as they were put into his mouth:
            Surat Al-`Alaq (The Clot)
96:1 Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
96:2 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
96:3 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
96:4 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-
96:5 Taught man that which he knew not.

These are the first five verses, which were revealed to Muhummed, which now occupy the beginning of the 96th chapter of the Holy Qur’ân.

            The Faithful Witness
Immediately the angel had departed, Muhummed rushed to his home. Terrified and sweating all over
he asked his beloved wife Khadija to ‘cover him up!’ He lay down, and she watched by him.
When he had regained his composure, he explained to her what he had seen and heard.
She assured him of her faith in him and that Allah would not allow any terrible thing to happen to him.
Are these the confessions of an impostar? Would impostars confess that when an angel of the Lord confronts them with a Message from on High,
they get fear-stricken, terrified, and sweating all over, run home to their wives? Any critic can see that his reactions and confessions are that of an honest,
sincere man, the man of Truth- ‘AL-AMIN’ – THE Honest, the Upright, the Truthful.During the next twenty-three
years of his prophetic life, words were ‘Put into his mouth’, and he uttered them. They made an indeliable impression
on his heart and mind: and as the volume of the Sacred Scripture (Holy Qur’ân) grew, they were recorded on palm-leaf fibre, on skins and on the shoulder-blades of animals; and in the hearts of his devoted disciples. Before his demise these words were arranged according to his instructions i n the order in which we find them today in the Holy Qur’ân.
The words (revelation) were actually put into his mouth, exactly as foretold in the prophecy under discussion: ‘AND I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH.’ (Deut. 18:18).

            Un-lettered Prophet
Muhummed’s experience in the cave of Hira, later to be known as Jabal-un Noor – The Mountain of Light,
and his response to that first Revelation is the exact fulfillment of another Biblical Prophecy.
In the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 29, verse 12, we read: “AND THE BOOK” (al-Kitaab, al-Qur’ân the ‘Reading’, the ‘Recitation’) “IS DELIVERED TO HIM THAT
IS NOT LEARNED,” (Isaiah 29:12) “THE UNLETTERED PROPHET ” (Holy Qur’ân 7:158) and the biblical verse continues :
“SAYING, READ THIS, I PRAY THEE:” (the words “I pray thee”, are not in the Hebrew manuscripts; compare with the Roman Catholics’
“Douay Version and also with the “Revised Standard Versions”) “AND HE SAITH, I AM NOT LEARNED.” (“I am not learned.”
is the exact translation of the Arabic words MA ANA BEQARA which Muhummed uttered twice to the Holy Ghost – the Archangel Gabriel,
when he was commanded : IQRAA “READ!”).Let me quote the verse in full without a break as found in the “King James Version,”
or the “Authorised version” as it is more popularly known “AND THE BOOK IS DELIVERED TO HIM THAT IS NOT LEARNED,
SAYING, READ THIS I PRAY THEE: AND HE SAITH, I AM NOT LEARNED.” (Isaiah 29:12).

            Important note:
It may be noted that there were no Arabic Bibles in existence in the 6th Century
of the Christian Era when Muhummed lived and preached! Besides, he was absolutely
unlettered and unlearned. No human had ever taught him a word. His teacher was his Creator:

53:3 Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire.
53:4 It is no less than inspiration sent down to him:
53:5 He was taught by one Mighty in Power,

Without any human learning, ‘he put to shame the wisdom of the learned’.”
            (12) There are today Arabic Bibles in Fourteen different scripts and dialects for the Arabs alone. See “The Gospels in many tongues”.

          • Michiel de Jong

What is it that you want to say with this exposition? That the Quran could not have been written by Mohammed? So what? Is the only remaining option, that thus the author has to be Allah? As I said before; if you look at the actual content of the Quran one can not be impressed…. When this was the best writing he could do, he ‘d better stick to creating life and galaxy’s because he did a better job there. Maybe 7th century Arabs in the middle of the dessert were impressed by it, due to a lack of possibilities to compare it with other books, but that’s not the case any more. Plenty of other books around to do the comparison.

          • Mohomed Farooque

See I have shown proof in your Bible the Muhammad is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon 5:16. The Hebrew and I have shown how the book is delivered according to your Bible “AND THE BOOK IS DELIVERED TO HIM THAT IS NOT LEARNED,
SAYING, READ THIS I PRAY THEE: AND HE SAITH, I AM NOT LEARNED.” (Isaiah 29:12). The words (revelation) were actually put into his mouth, exactly as foretold in the prophecy under discussion: ‘AND I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH.’ (Deut. 18:18). I have shown you many prophecy but you fail to show at least one prophecy also about Jesus in Old testament. King James Bible Matthew 13:13 -14 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

But the amazing thing about this exaggeration is that no Christian seems to have read it. Every learned man to whom I have shown this verse to, seemed to be seeing it for the first time. They appear dumbfounded, as described by the fitting words of Jesus:
“…seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.” Mathew 13:13
The Holy Quran also contains a verse which fittingly describes this well cultivated sickness –
DEAF, DUMB AND BLIND, THEY WILL NOT RETURN (TO THE PATH). Holy Quran 2:18

          • Michiel de Jong

My guess about those Christians you said you have met, “dumbfounded ” due to your expositions on Sal5:16 and Mat13:13, is that they had no clue what you were talking about. And those who finally grab the things you try to tell them were left wondering about how to respond without being offensive.
Sal5:16 is not about Mohammed, it’s not even about a prophet, or a warlord, or anything you could identify Mohammed with.
Concerning Mat13:13…. take notice that the disciples (founders of the church to come) were NOT among “them” who didn’t grasp the message of Jesus. To the contrary; they were explicitly distinct from “them”. (Mat13:16)

          • Mohomed Farooque

Ok fine But what about written in original scripture in hebrew you can’t ignore that

            Song of Solomon 5:16
            Hebrew

            חכו ממתקים וכלו
            מחמדים זה דודי
            וזה רעי
            בנות
            ירושלם׃

what about the name Mohommad (PBUH) is written. who is that mention in original script . you can only branwash to the people by make new version of Bible and making changes. You can translate in different language But you have no right to change the meanging of Names. eg. If the person name is Mr Black even though he is white you have to call him Mr. Black but u can’t translation in other language the meaning of his name eg. Black in arabic Aswad you can’t say him Mr. Aswad. and you have done same thing in above verse you make it to 5:16 His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is
altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O
daughters of Jerusalem” All together lovely. Mathew 13:13 is example to such people when they not understand Gods Clear Sign.

          • Michiel de Jong

My name is in the Bible 10 times, in Hebrew. מִיכָאֵל as well as in Greek Μιχαηλ. I am still not a prophet, nor am I prophesied.
Concerning Sol5:16,.. there no name, the person described is not Mohammed.

          • Mohomed Farooque

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YsA45CuvFk

But if there is no name then whose name is mention in Original Scripture in Song Soloman 5:16 ? if it is not Mohammed

            You
again check the Original Scripture in Hebrew and also see the attached
video he is telling the same verse again again Mohommeddim.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:

“Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem.”

“His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.”

            In
the Hebrew language -im is added for respect. Similarly -im is added
after the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to make it Muhammadim.
In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh) as “altogether lovely”, but in the Old Testament in
Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present.

            Why
it is mention Muhammadim ? Who is this Muhammadim ? So why without
reason what the mention Muhammadim simply to make confusion to all
insocent people and if it is present why your change the meaining to ”
            altogether lovely”.

      • Michiel de Jong

Whomever Deut 18:18 is talking about,…. it’s not Mohammed. He was not a prophet stemming from the Jews, nor a prophet among the Jews.
Apart from those obvious facts… what is the basis under the idea that Mohammed was a prophet at all? What did he prophesize? And who says he got these revelations from Allah, else than Mohammed himself? Is Mohammed to be trusted,… taking into account his attitude towards lying (taqiyya) and his regard for human life, or respect for some ones property?
The answers to those questions are staring you in the face…

        • Mohomed Farooque

According to you, are there not hundreds of prophecies regarding the coming of Jesus in the Old Testament.”
I know you will tell “Not hundreds, but thousands!” I ask you , “I am not going to dispute the ‘thousand and one’
prophecies in the Old Testament regarding the coming of Jesus Christ, because the whole Muslim-world has already
accepted him without the testimony of any Biblical prophecy. We Muslims have accepted the de facto Jesus on the authority
of Muhummed alone, and there are in the world today no less followers of Muhummed who love, respect and
revere this great Messenger of God -Jesus Christ- without having the Christians to convince them by means of their Biblical dialectics.
Out of the ‘thousands’ of prophecies referred to, can you please give me just one single prophecy where Jesus is mentioned by name?
The term ‘Messiah’, translated as ‘Christ’, is not a name but a title. Is there a single Prophecy where it says that the name of the Messiah
will be JESUS, and that his mother’s name will be MARY, that his supposed father will be JOSEPH THE CARPENTER; that he will be born in the reign
of HEROD THE KING, etc. etc.? No! There are no such details! Then how can you conclude that those ‘thousand’ Prophecies refer to Jesus (Peace be upon him)?”
“You see, prophecies are word-pictures of something that is going to happen in the future. When that thing actually comes to pass, we see vividly
in these prophecies the fulfillment of what had been predicted in the past.” I see : “What you actually do is that you deduce, you reason,
you put two and two together.” “If this is what you have to do with a ‘thousand’ prophecies to justify your claim with regards
to the genuineness of Jesus, why should we not adopt the very same system for Muhummed?”

Muhammad is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon 5:16. The Hebrew word
used there is Mahammuddim the end letters IM is a plural of respect, majesty
and grandeur Minus ‘im’ the word would be Muhammad translates as “altogether lovely”
in the Authorised Version of the Bible or ‘The Praised One’ – ‘the one worthy of praise i.e. MUHAMMAD!

You may bring up as many bible verses you like, but we were discussing the verse in Deut 18:18 .. and it is obvious that that verse isn’t talking about Mohammed, but about someone from among the Jews.
But I asked you a question…. ; Mohammed claimed to bring the word of God, supposedly the Quran. But the only testimony we have that to be true, is Mohammed’s own….. and this fellow doesn’t come across as a trustworthy guy by any standard, from what we know about him, not the least his attitude towards lying (taqiyya). So why should we even consider him to be a prophet at all?

          • Mohomed Farooque

Ok if you tell the verse Deut 18:18 isn’t talking about mohammed, but someone from among the Jews . So tell me the name who is that Jew Mention in Deut 18:18. ?. and if God want that will be among Jews he will write directly the name of person or among Jews, but he wrote among their brethern like unto the like moses. And I am sure you will not able to prove who is that jew like moses. But I will show you excatly how the prophecy fit to Muhammed.

            Ishmael The First Born

So far what I have done is to prove only one point out of the
whole prophecy – that is proving the phrase LIKE UNTO THEE’ – ‘like you’ – ‘like Moses’. The prophecy is much more
than this single phrase which reads as follows: “I WILL RAISE THEM UP A PROPHET FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN LIKE UNTO THEE…”
The emphasis is on the words – ‘From among their
brethren.’ Moses and his people, the
Jews, are here addressed as a racial entity, and as such their ‘brethren’ would
undoubtedly be the Arabs. You see, the Holy Bible speaks of Abraham as the
“Friend of God”. Abraham had two wives –
Sarah and Hagar. Hagar bore Abraham a son – HIS FIRST BORN – , And Abraham
called HIS SON’S name, which Hagar bore, Ishmael.’ (Genesis 16:15) ‘And Abraham took Ishmael HIS SON.’ (Genesis 17:23). ‘And Ishmael HIS SON was thirteen years old,
when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.’ (Genesis 17:25).

If Ishmael and Isaac are the sons of the same father
Abraham, then they are brothers. And so the
children of the one are the BRETHREN of the other. The children of Isaac are the Jew and the
children of Ishmael are the Arabs – So they are BRETHREN to one another. The Bible affirms. “AND HE (ISHMAEL) SHALL DWELL IN THE PRESENCE
            OF ALL HIS BRETHREN.’ (Genesis
16:12). AND HE (ISHMAEL) DIED IN THE
PRESENCE OF ALL HIS BRETHREN.’ (Genesis
25:18). The children of Isaac are the
brethren of the Ishmaelites. In like
manner Muhammad is from among the brethren of the Israelites because he was a
descendant of Ishmael the son of Abraham.
This is exactly as the prophecy has it
            – ‘FROM AMONG THEIR
BRETHREN’. (Deut. 18:18). Here the prophecy distinctly mentions that
the coming prophet who would be like Moses, must arise NOT from the ‘children of
Israel’ or from ‘among themselves’, but from among their brethren. MUHAMMAD THEREFORE WAS FROM AMONG THEIR
            BRETHREN!

          • Michiel de Jong

My guess is you are not going to answer my question about Mohammed; why we should see him as a prophet, considering his attitude towards (for instance) lying.
The answer is simple; there is no reason to believe him on his claims about the Quran and several reasons not to.
Your idea that a descendant from Ismael could fit the description of Deut18:18, is wrong. The used expression means only one thing;.. this prophet will be an Israelite like Moses, out of their midst, the people gathered right there, to whom Moses spoke those words right then. And so it has been in the following centuries;… one prophet after the other,… all Israelites.
Mohammed was not. And not a single Jew ever paid serious attention to what he said. In fact, Mohammed murdered them. He could hardly be further away from fitting the description.

          • Mohomed Farooque

I have shown you so many proofs and of them you have not answer a single one 1 ) Deut 18:18 who is that prophet. 2 ) Song of Solomon 5:16. 3) what the meaning of Begotten ? Begotten Means “Sired”!
“It means, sired by God.” 4) 3 Days 3 Nights in the sign of Johna 5) Who is this Comforter? In verse John 16 verse 7. and lastly Abraham a son – HIS FIRST BORN as his father was also jews and mother was an Arab the children of Ishmael are the Arabs – So they are BRETHREN to one another.
The Bible affirms. “AND HE (ISHMAEL) SHALL DWELL IN THE PRESENCE
            OF ALL HIS BRETHREN.’ (Genesis
16:12). AND HE (ISHMAEL) DIED IN THE
PRESENCE OF ALL HIS BRETHREN.’ (Genesis
25:18). The children of Isaac are the
brethren of the Ishmaelites. In like
manner Muhammad is from among the brethren of the Israelites because he was a
descendant of Ishmael the son of Abraham. And I hope no Born again Christian can answer this Question because “THEY (Jews & Christians) HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO HATE
THE MAN MOHAMED AND HIS RELIGION.”

And i will come to your first question why u should believe Quran and Mohommad as prophet

            THE CHALLENGE OF THE QUR’AAN
Literature and poetry have been instruments of human expression and
creativity, in all cultures. The world also witnessed an age when literature and
poetry occupied pride of position, similar to that now enjoyed by science and
            technology.
Muslims as well as non-Muslims agree that Al-Qur’aan is Arabic literature
par excellence – that it is the best Arabic literature on the face of the earth.
The Qur’aan, challenges mankind in the following verses:
“And if ye are in doubt As to what We have revealed From time to time
to Our Servant, then produce a Soorah Like thereunto; And call your
witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, If your (doubts) are
true. But if ye cannot –And of a surety you cannot. hen fear the Fire
Whose fuel is Men and Stones – Which is prepared for those Who reject
            Faith.”
            [Al-Qur’aan 2:23-24]
            1
The same notation is followed throughout the book. References and
translation of the Qur’aan are from the translation of the Qur’aan by Abdullah
Yusuf Ali, new revised edition, 1989, published by Amana Corporation,
            Maryland, USA.
The challenge of the Qur’aan, is to produce a single
            Soorah
            (chapter) like the
            Soorahs
it contains. The same challenge is repeated in the Qur’aan several
times. The challenge to produce a
            Soorah
, which, in beauty, eloquence, depth
and meaning is at least somewhat similar to a Qur’aanic
            Soorah
            remains
unmet to this day. A modern rational man, however, would never accept a
religious scripture, which says, in the best possible poetic language, that the
world is flat. This is because we live in an age, where human reason, logic
and science are given primacy. Not many would accept the Qur’aan’s
extraordinarily beautiful language, as proof of its Divine origin. Any scripture
claiming to be a divine revelation must also be acceptable on the strength of
            its own reason and logic.
According to the famous physicist and Nobel Prize winner, Albert Einstein,
“Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.”
            Let us
therefore study the Qur’aan, and analyze whether
            The Qur’aan and Modern
            Science are compatible or incompatible?
The Qur’aan is not a book of science but a book of ‘signs’, i.e.
            ayat
            s. There
are more than six thousand ‘signs’ in the Qur’aan of which more than a
thousand deal with science. We all know that many a times Science takes a
            ‘U-turn’.

The Challenge of the Qur’aan in various field Astronomy Physics Geography Geology Oceanology Biology Botany Zoology Medicine Physiology Embryology General Science
            CONCLUSION
To attribute the presence of scientific facts in the Qur’aan to coincidence
would be against common sense and a true scientific approach. The Qur’aan
invites all humans to reflect on the Creation of this universe in the verse:
“Behold! In the creation Of the heavens and the earth, And the
alternation Of Night and Day – There are indeed Signs For men of
            understanding.”
            [Al-Qur’aan 3:190]
The scientific evidences of the Qur’aan clearly prove its Divine Origin. No
human could have produced a book, fourteen hundred years ago, that would
contain profound scientific facts, to be discovered by humankind centuries
later. The Qur’aan, however, is not a book of Science but a book of ‘Signs’.
These signs invite Man to realize the purpose of his existence on earth, and to
live in harmony with Nature. The Qur’aan is truly a message from Allah, the
Creator and Sustainer of the universe. It contains the same message of the
Oneness of God, that was preached by all prophets, right from Adam, Moses,
Jesus to Muhammad (peace be upon them).
Several detailed tomes have been written on the subject of Qur’aan and
modern science and further research in this field is on. Inshallah, this research
will help mankind to come closer to the Word of the Almighty. This booklet
contains only a few of the scientific facts present in the Qur’aan. I cannot
claim to have done full justice to the subject. Prof.
Tejasen accepted Islam on the strength of just one scientific ‘sign’ mentioned
in the Qu’ran. Some people may require ten signs while some may require
hundred signs to be convinced about the Divine Origin of the Qur’aan. Some
would be unwilling to accept the Truth even after being shown a thousand
signs. The Qur’aan condemns such a closed mentality in the verse:
            “Deaf,
dumb and blind, They will not return (To the path).”
            [Al-Qur’aan 2:18]
The Qur’aan contains a complete code of life for the individual and society.
Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), the Qur’aanic way of life is far superior to
the ‘isms’ that modern man has invented out of sheer ignorance. Who can
give better guidance than the Creator Himself?

          • Michiel de Jong

I am not going to repeat myself concerning your 5 points. I addressed them all.
The thing the Bible prophesied about the descendants from Ishmael, is that they will live in constant animosity towards each other and towards the people of Israel. And so it is.
Concerning the fact you mentioned that “the Quran contains a complete code of life for individual and society”… That’s exactly the reason for me to have studied it, because I don’t agree with you that “this way of life is far superior”. In fact… what you can see is that the more a society is governed by Muslims, Islam, Sharia, the more likely it is that the people living in it, wants to emigrate.

          • Mohomed Farooque

            Concerning
5 Pointsi have gone through conservation what you told,

            You have
            not answer a single one

1 ) Deut 18:18 who is that prophet. (your
answer –Whomever Deut 18:18 is talking about,…. it’s not Mohammed.)

I ask you If not Mohammed I want exact name of person
because the whole Jews and Christianity is waiting for that prophesies.

            2) Song of
Solomon 5:16. (your answer – Sal5:16 is not about Mohammed, it’s not even about
a prophet, or a warlord, or anything you could identify Mohammed with. )

I ask you if not Mohammed I want exact name or
why its mention Mohammed in the original book Hebrew.

            3) What
the meaning of Begotten ? Begotten Means “Sired”!

“It means, sired by God.” (
you did’t answer this question you ignore and continued with other discussion
about the Ismail (Abraham’s son – HIS FIRST BORN)

            4) 3 Days
3 Nights in the sign of Johana ( your answer The ‘Sign of Jonah’ was Jonah’s
re-emergence after three days, back into the land of the living….. and that
was the sign the scribes and the Pharisee got, three days after they had
‘thrown Jesus overboard’. That was the proof he is who he claimed to be.

            I ask you
if we see the whole chapter (http://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Jonah-Chapter-1/)
it is not mention any where in chapter Johana was died and if He died,
there is no miracle. There’s no sign. If He didn’t die, it’s a miracle . The
man is telling you that what is going to happen will be like Jonah. And the
sign of Jonah is a miracle. And the only miracle you can attribute to this man,
Jonah, is that we expected him to die and he didn’t die. Jesus – we expect Him
also to die. If He died, it is not a sign. If He didn’t die, it is a sign.

            5) Who is
this Comforter? In verse John 16 verse 7. (you did’t answer this question you
ignore and I want the exact name of that comforter who is this comforter ?)

And if you agree or not but today the fastest growing religion is Islam.

            We as
whole Muslims have the lowest Alcoholic rates, Lowest gambling

rates, Lowest prison rates, lowest devoice rates, Lowest Suicide Rate, and the
            Highest Charity.

            Deuteronomy
            18:18 with a dire warning:

“AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS” (it

is going to happen) “THAT WHOSOEVER WILL

NOT HARKEN UNTO MY WORDS WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME I WILL REQUIRE IT OF

HIM” in the Catholic Bible the ending words are – “I will be the

revenger”, – I will take vengeance from him – I will take

            revenge!) “Does not this terrify

            you? God Almighty is threatening

revenge! We shake in our pants when some

hoodlum threatens us yet you have no fear of God’s warning?”

  • AKFletch

Another good possibility for unity would be for all of them to recognise that they’ve all been duped by the idea of monotheism, and just give it up entirely.

  • Joseph K. McCall

    O_o I can’t believe this was written….

    The writer can’t be serious?

  • Scaevola

By analogy it would be just as super easy to get creationists and evolutionists (roll with me here) to agree–creationists would simply have to sacrifice their belief in special creation as the cause of biological diversity, and evolutionists would just have to write God into their scientific hypotheses. Bam, consensus!

Seriously, though, you’re asking Christians to reject the doctrine of the Trinity (which has always been present in Christianity) because Jews and Muslims fundamentally misinterpret it?

    • Michiel de Jong

This is in fact far more realistic. If only creationists stop suggesting they know God methods and timeframes, for which they overstretch the revelations in Genesis and if evolutionists stop suggesting that evolution somehow indicates the non-existence of a Creator, as if knowing the chemical-physical processes during the genesis of pottery would exclude the existence of the potter, then we are there.
If believer stick to their believe WHO created and scientist stick to their explanation of HOW things happened, you can easily be a believing scientist. And in fact there are many.

      • Scaevola

And here I was just trying to be absurd.

        • Michiel de Jong

That’s what I figured out, that you were just trying….. but it’s hard to be as absurd as this article.

    • kzarley

Scaevola, you are incorrect that “the doctrine of the Trinity … has always been present in Christianity.” There was no doctrine of the Trinity–the one we know about–in the 1st-3rd centuries. It was not developed until the second half of the 4th century and made official by the Catholic Church at its Council of Constantinople in 381 with an adapted Nicene Creed that did not include the word “trinity.”

      • Michiel de Jong

It is not about the word “Trinity” or the doctrine it represents. That may very well be formulated later on by the church, when it was denied by some. It about how God revealed himself, according the Bible. You may reject the Bible as being corrupted or as a fairy tale, a thus deny the fact that God presents himself a one but also as three distinctive persons. What you can not do, is pretending to take the Bible seriously and suggesting that the church made this idea up. Apart from that fact that this idea is a founding motive throughout the NT, it is not the kind of idea you invent.

      • Scaevola

The development of doctrine isn’t the same thing as the creation of doctrine. Per Newman, development is the unfolding and the deepening in understanding of what was always believed. The Church defined it at Constantinople and Nicaea (and continued to add nuance to the definition to combat the scads of reductive Trinitarian heresies of the time), but definition by ecumenical council only happens to doctrines upheld consistently by the sensus fidelium. (This is pretty clear in the most recently-defined doctrines of the Immaculate Conception and Assumption, both of which are beliefs having been consistently held by the faithful for centuries before they were defined.)

  • Christianity is not a “religion of a book”; instead, it is the religion of the living and incarnate Word of God, for as the Gospel of John proclaims, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . . . and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

    • kzarley

Most scholars regard John 1.1-18 as poem that serves as a prologue, even an outline, to the Gospel of John. John 1.1c has some grammatical difficulty. I think the New English Bible better translates, “and what God was the word was.” This conveys the same idea as in Hebrews 1.3, that Jesus is “the exact imprint of God’s very being.” Neither rendering identifies Jesus as God.

      • I think the Greek Fathers understood the Greek text of John best, and they held that it is an affirmation of the full divinity of Christ. Anyone who rejects the dogmas of the Incarnation and the Holy Trinity is no longer a Christian.

        • kzarley

I disagree. Christians are people who believe Jesus is Israel’s Messiah who died for their sins, arose from the dead, and to some extent they make Jesus the Lord of their lives. Whether or not the doctrine of the Trinity is true, and thus Jesus is God, has nothing whatsoever to do with it according to the New Testament. I was a Trinitarian for 22 years, and that is not what made me a Christian. Nicene and post-Nicene church fathers got it wrong. Read Acts 16.31; Rom 10.9-10; 1 Cor 15.3-5; John 3.16; 20.30-31. Where in the book of Acts did Peter and Paul preach in their evangelistic messages that Jesus was God or indicate God is tri-personal? Nowhere!

      • Scaevola

If we take up this translation as best, I’m still not sure how “what God was the word was” doesn’t mean that the Word is God. It sounds like a basic application of the transitive property.

    • ∩⌂∫⅓∂Ψ

Do you know the source of John’s Gospel? What was that word?

  • Mohomed Farooque

This was already spoke 1400 years before, when Quran was revelead

    AL-I-‘IMRAN) Holy Qur’ân 3:64

“PEOPLE OF THE BOOK” is the respectful title given to the Jews
and the Christians in the Holy Qur’ân. The Muslims is here commanded to invite
    – “O People of the Book!” – O Learned
People! O People who claim to be the recipients of Divine Revelation, of a Holy
Scripture; let us gather together onto a common platform – “that
we worship none but God”, because
none but God is worthy of worship, not because “THE LORD THY GOD IS A
JEALOUS GOD VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN UNTO THE
THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION OF THEM THAT HATE ME.” (Exodus 20:25).

But because He is our Lord and
Cherisher, our Sustainer and Evolver, worthy of all praise, prayer and
    devotion.

    Q u r ’ a n 16. Al Nahl 125.
Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and
beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that
are best and most gracious: for thy Lord
knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and
    who receive guidance.

I know Christian does not follow what Bible say and
what Jesus Say, But the follow what the Church( What Church Says).

and if you follow really what Moses ( PBUH ) Jesus Christ (PBUH) say then
    you know

    1) OLD Testament

    2) NEW Testament

    and Finally you
have to know the LAST Testament that is Quran.

    • Michiel de Jong

The Quran contradicts the Bible (OT as well as NT) on a factual level in many cases. And because the Quran is written by Allah, who is infallible according the Quran, the Bible must be false, if Allah tells the truth.
It is therefor logically inconsistent to state that the Quran is the last of three revelations by different prophets (Moses, Jesus, Mohammed), as if the Qurans fits in line with those previous two. That is obviously not the case due to those many factual contradictions.
The fact that Mohammed/Allah thought that they told the same stories as the Bible, clearly indicates that they never read it….
The Muslim ‘argument that the Bible had been corrupted,… well maybe so,.. but not since the 6th Century. The Bible-version Mohammed could have known (and refers to..!), is the version we have right now…

      • Mohomed Farooque

        For
“Allah” is the Arabic word for “God/god,”

        In
Different Language then name of creator is different.

        Arabic “Allha”

        English
        “God” .

        As you
mention the Bible had been corrupted not since the 6th Century.

        But the
Quran was revealed it was mention at that time also.

        Surat
        Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2: 79. Then
woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:”This
is from Allah,” to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for
what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.

        We Muslims have no
hesitation in acknowledging that in the Bible, there are three different kinds
of witnessing recognizable without any need of specialized training. These are:

        1.
        You will be able to
recognize in the Bible what may be described as “The Word of God”.

        2.
You will also be able to
discern what can be described as the “Words of a Prophet of God.”

        3.
        And you will most readily
observe that the bulk of the Bible is the records of eye witnesses or ear
witnesses, or people writing from hearsay. As such they are the “Words
        of a Historian.”

        … The following
quotations will make the position crystal clear:

        The FIRST Type:

        a.
        “I will raise
them up a prophet … and I will put my words in … and he shall speak
unto them all that I shall command him.” (Deuteronomy 18:18)

        b.
        “I, even I,
am the Lord, and beside me there is no saviour.” (Isaiah 43:11)

        c.
        “Look unto me,
and be ye saved, all the end of the earth: for I am God, and there is
        non else.” (Isaiah 45:22)

        Note the first person
pronoun singular (in bold) in the above references, and without any difficulty
you will agree that the statements seem to have the sound of being GOD’S WORD.

        The SECOND Type:

        a.
        “Jesus cried
with a loud voice, saying Eli, Eli, lama sabachtani? …” (Matthew 27:46)

        b.
        “And Jesus
answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the
Lord our God is one Lord:” (Mark 12:29)

        c.
        “And Jesus said
unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is
        God.” (Mark 10:18)

Even a child will be able
to affirm that Jesus “cried,” Jesus “answered,”
and Jesus “said” are the words of the one to whom they are
attributed, i.e. the WORDS OF A PROPHET OF GOD.

        The THIRD Type:

“And seeing a fig tree afar off having
leaves, he, (JESUS) came, if haply he (JESUS) might find anything
thereon; and when he (JESUS) came to it, he (JESUS) found nothing
        but leaves…” (Mark 11:13)

The bulk of the Bible is
a witnessing of this THIRD kind. These are the words of a third person.
Note the underlined pronouns. They are not the Words of God or of his prophet,
but the WORDS OF A HISTORIAN.

        For the Muslim it is
quite easy to distinguish the above types of evidence, because he also has them
in his own faith. But of the followers of the different religions, he is the
most fortunate in this that his various records are contained in separate
        Books!

ONE: The first kind – THE WORD OF GOD – is found in a
        Book called The Holy Qur’an.

TWO: The second kind – THE WORDS OF THE PROPHET OF
GOD … are recorded in the Books of Tradition called The Hadith.

THREE: Evidence of the third kind abound in different
        volumes of Islamic history …

        The Muslim keeps the above
three types of evidence jealously apart, in their proper gradations of
        authority.

        As you
mention, it is there for logically inconsistent to state that the Quran is the
last of three revelations by different prophets (Moses, Jesus, Mohammed), as if
the Qurans fits in line with those previous two. That is obviously not the case
due to those many factual contradictions.

Answer: Jesus did not came to die for anybody’s
sin, he came to preach the message of God to the Israelites, he was not a
universal messenger But he said to them, “I must preach the Good News about the
Kingdom of God in other towns (of Israel) also, because that is what God sent
me to do.” Luke 4:43 Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else–to the nearby
villages–so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” Mark 1:38 He
answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” Matthew 15:24“These
twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: “Do not go in the way of the
Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans; but rather go to the
lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 10:5-6

The Prophet was sent to all of Mankind Allah says to His servant
        and Messenger Muhammad :

We have only sent you as a mercy to the
        worlds (Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 107

“O people of the Scripture (Jews and
Christians)! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making (things)
clear unto you, after a break in (the series of) Messengers, lest you say:
“There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner.” But now has come
unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And Allah is Able to do all
        things. (Quran, Surah Al-Maida:19)”

John Chapter 16 King James Version (KJV) as
        mention below

        Deuteronomy 18:18 King James Version
        (KJV)

18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren,
like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto
them all that I shall command him.

19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken
unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

John Chapter 16 King James Version (KJV)

7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It
is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will
not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of
sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9Of sin, because they believe not on
        me;

10Of righteousness, because I go to my
        Father, and ye see me no more;

11Of judgment, because the prince of
        this world is judged.

12I have yet many things to say unto
you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth,
        is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself;
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you
        things to come.

14He shall glorify me: for he shall
receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

15All things that the Father hath are
mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it
        unto you.

From Last 2000 years in Christianity No comforter came. We believe that Comforter
        is Mohammad (PBUH)

        • Michiel de Jong

I know God and Allah have the same meaning, but that itself doesn’t imply that it refers to the same Deity.
Whether or not the Bible is corrupted, is an other subject, but if the Bible has been corrupted, it must have take place half a millennium, or in case of the OT even a millennium before Mohammed came to the scene. So if he refers to ‘the Book’, he refers to the same version we have right now. That was the only one available at that time. The point being; that version contradicts the Quran in many cases and thus the suggestion of Mohammed to be in line with previous existing revelations, is simply not correct.
Moreover, the Quran/Allah brings another message, introduces an other kind of God. In the Bible God tells people to love your neighbour, to be good to all people, to forgive as you are being forgiven by grace and thus reflects who God is, while Allah and the Quran, has a very negative attitude towards non-Muslims, in particular Jews and Christians.
God and Allah are very different. It’s either a God of justice, love and forgiveness, or a God of submission and oppression. That still don’t tell you, which version is correct, if any. However the fact that the Quran try to suggest that God and Allah are the same, is not true. And that tells you at least something about the Quran….

          • Fired, Aren’t I

Then why did Maimonides, who lived in the Arabic world in the middle ages, refer to God as “Allah” when he wrote in Arabic? http://www.js.emory.edu/BLUMENTHAL/PM2.5.html

Why did Jews feel comfortable praying in mosques? http://judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/26328/jews-allowed-to-pray-and-join-muslim-congregation-in-mosques-and-experiences

And yes, having Jews “realize” Jesus is the Moshiach is a pipe dream. He doesn’t fulfill the prophecies that are exhaustive and exclusive, such as the knowledge of God covering the earth, the dead rising up, and the lost tribes being reunited.

There is no “second coming” in Jewish eschatological thought.

          • Michiel de Jong

Well,.. in the Christian Bible in Arabic ‘God’ might also be called ‘Allah’. It’s about the personally of God as being revealed in the Bible and the Quran respectively. They are very different.
I have no knowledge about how comfortable Jews pray in mosques. A Christian can pray everywhere, even in a Mosque when he or she happened to be there.
Concerning Jews recognizing Jesus as the Messiah,.. remember that the first decennium of the Church there were only Jewish Christians… I agree that it is almost impossible to imagine a Jew accepting Jesus to be the Messiah and Son of God, while not fulfilling many of the prophesies.. even worse; executed by the Romans…!
            Something must have happened….

            Michiel de Jong
            kzarley

Over a thousand million Christians today blindly accept that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ. They
produce “a thousand and one” prophecies from the Jewish Bible (the Old
Testament) to prove their claim that Jesus was the Messiah promised to the
Jews. Let us hold the “thousand” prophecies in abeyance for a moment
and examine the only unequivocal claim made by Jesus in the Gospels and examine
whether he fulfilled his promise to the Jews. We must admit that the word
CHRIST is not a name. It is a title. It is a translation of the Hebrew word
Messiah, meaning “anointed.” The Greek word for “anointed”
is Christos from which we get the word Christ. Priests and kings were
“anointed” when being consecrated to their office. The Holy Bible
confers this title even on a heathen king CYRUS (Isaiah 45:1).

We are reminded in the Gospel of St. Luke that “WHEN EIGHT
DAYS WERE ACCOMPLISHED FOR THE CIRCUMCISING OF THE CHILD, HIS NAME WAS CALLED JESUS,
WHICH WAS SO NAMED OF THE ANGEL BEFORE HE WAS CONCEIVED IN THE WOMB.”
(Luke 2:21). The name that was given to Mary for her yet unborn son was JESUS
and NOT Christ. It was only after his baptism at the hands of John the Baptist
that he, Jesus, claimed to be the Christ. The Jews were not the ones to accept
his claim on its face value. They wanted proof!

Matthew records that the learned men among the Jews – the
Scribes and Pharisees – came to Jesus and asked, “MASTER, WE WOULD SEE A
SIGN FROM THEE”. (Matthew 12:38). What they really wanted was some “magic
trick,” some “sleight of hand” like producing a rabbit out of a
hat or walking on the water or flying in the air or trodding on burning coal.
This is the type of “sign” or MIRACLE they were looking for. The Jews
mistook him for a sorcerer, a wizard, a charlatan.

NO “SIGN” BUT ONE With righteous indignation Jesus
            replies:

            “AN EVIL AND ADULTEROUS
GENERATION SEEKETH AFTER A SIGN; AND THERE SHALL NO SIGN (no miracle) BE GIVEN
TO IT, BUT THE SIGN (miracle) OF THEPROPHET JONAS: FOR AS JONAS WAS THREE DAYS AND
THREE NIGHTS IN THE WHALE’S BELLY; SO SHALL THE SON OF MAN BE THREE DAYS AND THREE
NIGHTS IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH.” (Matthew 12:39-40). Jesus says,
“NO SIGN.” He does not refer the Jews to blind Bartimeus whose sight
he had restored. He does not speak about the “woman with issues” who
was healed by merely touching him; or about the 2000 pigs he had destroyed to
heal “a man possessed;” or the 5000 and the 3000 people he had fed
and satiated with a few pieces of fish and a few pieces of bread. ‘No
sign,” says Jesus, BUT ONE! – “THE SIGN OF THE PROPHET JONAS!”
He is putting all his “eggs” in one basket. His claim to being the
Messiah (Christ) stands or falls by the ONLY “sign” he was prepared
            to give.

Did Jesus fulfil the only sign he gave?

Christendom answers with a unanimous Y-E-S! without heeding
the Biblical advice – ‘not to take things for granted.’ – but “PROVE ALL
            THINGS!” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

What was the Sign of Jonah?

          • Michiel de Jong

The ‘Sign of Jonah’ was Jonah’s re-emergence after three days, back into the land of the living….. and that was the sign the scribes and the Pharisee got, three days after they had ‘thrown Jesus overboard’. That was the proof he is who he claimed to be.

It’s beyond me what you try to proof with your statements about ‘Christianity’ and ‘Judaism’ don’t exist, about Jesus whose name was not Christ but Jesus….?

          • Mohomed Farooque

Again Over a thousand million Christians today blindly accept without analyzing, read it carefully what you missed. Note :Please keep with you Pen or Pencil it will be helpfull to calculate the Equation for the below mention “sign” (miracle) of Jonah

What was the “sign” (miracle) of Jonah? We have to go to the “Book of
Jonah” in the Old Testament to find out. God commanded Jonah to go to
Nineveh and warn the Ninevites to repent from their “evil ways, and from the violence that is in their hands.”
(Jonah 3:8) But Jonah was loath to go as a warner unto the Ninevites, so he goes to Joppa instead of Nineveh, and takes a boat to run away from the Lord’s command. While at sea, there was a terrible tempest. According to the superstition of the mariners, a person fleeing from his Master’s command creates such a turmoil at sea. They began to enquire among themselves and said, “COME, AND LET US CAST LOTS, (like the tossing of a coin, “head” or “tail”) THAT WE MAY KNOW FOR WHOSE CAUSE THIS EVIL IS UPON US. SO THEY CAST LOTS, AND THE LOT FELL UPON JONAH.” (Jonah 1:7) Though there was
a temporary lapse on the part of Jonah in fulfilling his mission, he manfully and most courageously volunteers: “AND HE SAID UNTO THEM TAKE ME UP, AND CAST ME FORTH INTO THE SEA; SO SHALL THE SEA BE CALM UNTO YOU: FOR I KNOW THAT
FOR MY SAKE THIS GREAT TEMPEST IS UPON YOU.” (Jonah 1:12) DEAD OR ALIVE? Since Jonah was selflessly offering himself as a “vicarious” sacrifice there was no need for strangling him before throwing him into the sea, no need to spear him or break his arm or limb. In his own words: “TAKE ME UP AND CAST ME FORTH.” The question now arises, that when the shipmaster and the crew threw him overboard, was Jonah dead or alive? Any Christian child who has attended Sunday School will give an immediate reply: “ALIVE!” The storm subsides. Was this perhaps a coincidence? A fish swallows Jonah. Was he dead or
alive when swallowed? The answer again is “ALIVE.” Was he dead or
alive when “JONAH PRAYED UNTO THE LORD HIS GOD OUT OF THE FISH’S BELLY?”
(Jonah 2:1) Surely dead men don’t cry and don’t pray! The answer again is “ALIVE.” For three days and three nights the fish takes him around
the ocean: dead or alive? “ALIVE!” is the answer. On the third day it
vomits him on the seashore: dead or alive? A-L-I-V-E, of course! What had Jesus prophesied about himself? He said: “AS JONAH WAS ….. SO SHALL THE SON OF MAN BE” – LIKE JONAH. And how was Jonah? Was he dead or alive for three days and three nights? Alive! ALIVE! ALIVE! is the unanimous answer from the Jew, the Christian and the Muslim!
            UNLIKE JONAH
If Jonah was alive for three days and three nights, then Jesus also ought to have been alive in the tomb as he himself had foretold! But Christianity hangs on the flimsy thread of the “death” of Jesus for its salvation. So it has to answer that Jesus was DEAD for three days and three nights. The contradiction between his utterance and its fulfilment is obvious. Jonah ALIVE, Jesus DEAD! Very UNLIKE Jonah! Jesus had said “LIKE Jonah” not UNLIKE Jonah. If this is true then according to his own test Jesus is not the TRUE Messiah of the Jews. If the Gospel record is genuine then how can we blame the Jews for rejecting “CHRIST.”

THREE AND THREE = 72 HOURS?

The Doctor of Divinity and the Professor of Theology replies that in Matthew 12:40 under discussion, the emphasis is on the TIME factor – “as Jonas was THREE days and THREE nights in the belly of the whale, so shall the son of man be THREE days and THREE nights in the heart of the earth.” “Please note,” says the learned theologian, “that the word “THREE” is repeated F-O-U-R times in this verse to prove that Jesus was going to fulfil the prophecy as regards the length of time he was going to remain in the tomb, and NOT ‘As Jonas was’ in relation to his being alive or dead. If it is the time factor that Jesus was stressing then let us ask whether he fulfilled that aspect of his promise to the Jews as well. The Christian dogmatist answers: “OF COURSE!”

            PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The question arises: when was Christ crucified? The whole Christian world answers: “FRIDAY!” Is this the reason we celebrate “Good Friday” –What makes “Good Friday” so good? “It is the death of Christ on the Cross on this day to wash off our sins,” says the Christians. So he was killed on the cross on a Friday, 2015 years ago? “YES!” says the Christians. From the Gospel records we gather that the Jews were in a hurry to eliminate Jesus. Hence the midnight trial, and then despatching him off to Pilate in the morning; from Pilate to Herod and then back again to Pilate. The vested interests were afraid of the general public. Jesus was their hero. He had been their benefactor. His enemies had to do away with him quickly, and succeeded in doing so. However, as much as
they were in a hurry to hang him on the cross, they were in equal hurry to
bring him down from the cross before sunset on Friday because of the Sabbath. The Sabbath starts at about 6 p.m. on Friday and the Jews were warned in Deuteronomy 21:23 that the victim of crucifixion was an “accursed of God” and was not to be permitted to remain hanging on the Sabbath day, “that thy land be not defiled which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. To satisfy the religious scruples of the Scribes and Pharisees the “secret disciples” of Jesus took down the body from the cross. They gave the body the Jewish burial-bath, plastered it with “one hundred pounds weight of aloes and myrrh” (John 19:39), then placed the shrouded body into the sepulchre before night-fall. WHY “SUPPOSED”? There are numerous differences between the various sects and denominations of Christianity, but on the above they are
unanimous. Jesus is SUPPOSED to be in the tomb on the night of Friday. He is still SUPPOSED to be in the tomb on the day of Saturday. He is still SUPPOSED to be in the tomb on the night of Saturday. Christians agree whole-heartedly with this. It will be noted that I have repeated the word ‘SUPPOSED’ three times. The reason is that the Gospels are silent as to when exactly Jesus came out of the tomb. He could have been taken away on Friday night by his “secret disciples”
to a more congenial and restful place, but I have no right to assume about what the Gospel writers are silent. I have, therefore, repeated the word ‘SUPPOSED’ three times. In the final analysis, let us see whether Jesus was THREE days and
            THREE niqhts in the tomb:-

            Easter Week In The Sepulchre

            Days Night

            ————————————————————————————————-
            Friday Friday NIL One Night
            Placed in Tomb just
            Before sunset
            ————————————————————————————————-
            Saturday
Supposed to be in the Tomb One Day One Night
            ————————————————————————————————-
Sunday Missing Before Sunrise NIL NIL

You will no doubt note that the GRAND TOTAL is ONE day and TWO nights, and NOT three days and three ights.According to the Christian Scriptures Jesus had failed a SECOND time. FIRST he was unlike Jonah, who was ALIVE in the belly of the fish, which is the exact
opposite of what the Christians claim had happened to their master Jesus, who was DEAD for the same period of time as Jonah was – ALIVE. SECONDLY, we discover that he also failed to fulfil the TIME FACTOR as well. The greatest mathematician in Christendom will fail to obtain the desired result – THREE days and THREE nights. We must not forget that the Gospels are explicit in telling us that it was “before sunrise” on Sunday morning (the FIRST day of the week), that Mary Magdalene went to the tomb of Jesus and found it empty.
            “GOOD”
            WEDNESDAY

Jesus Christ was crucified on a Wednesday and not on Friday, as is supposed by Orthodox Christianity for the past two thousand years. According to him if one counts backwards from Sunday morning deducting 3 DAYS and 3 NIGHTS, one ought to get WEDNESDAY
as the answer. how was it possible for the past two thousand years the whole Christian world celebrated GOOD FRIDAY instead of GOOD WEDNESDAY. Thus the Whole Christians of the world today are ignorant of the correct day of the so called crucifixion! It means that even the Roman Catholic Church – which claims an unbroken chain of Popes from Peter to this day – are mislead.
            GOD OR THE DEVIL?

The question arises, who deceived the millions of Christians for the past TWO THOUSAND years. GOD or the DEVIL? “THE DEVIL!” “If the devil,” I said, “can succeed in confusing the Christians in the most elementary hings of their Faith, whether to celebrate a Good Friday or a Good Wednesday, then how much easier for him to mislead Christians in other things concerning God?” If this is the belief of the trend-setters of the Christian Faith in the world today, may we not then ask: is this not the mightiest hoax in history?

            JESUS(PBUH) NEVER CLAIM DIVNITY

Islam is the only Non-Christian faith, which makes it an article of faith to believe in Jesus (peace be upon him). No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (peace be upon him). We believe that he was one of the mightiest messengers of Allah Subhana Wa Taalah – of Almighty God. We believe that he was born miraculously without any male intervention which many modern day Christians do not believe.

We believe that he gave life to the dead with God’s permission. We believe that he healed those born blind, and lepers with God’s permission. The Christians and Muslims we are going together hand in hand, but there are parting of ways. There are many Christians who say that ‘Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), he was Almighty God
he himself claimed Divinity. Infact, if you read the Bible there is not a
single uneqvivocable statement in the whole Bible where Jesus (peace be upon him) himself says, that ‘I am God’ or where he says ‘Worship me’. I would like to repeat that statement that there is not a single uneqvivocable statement in the complete Bible where Jesus (peace be upon him) himself says that‘I am God’ or where he says ‘Worship me’. Infact if you read the Bible it is mentioned in the Gospel of John, Ch.No. 14, V.No.28 Jesus (peace be upon him) said –‘My Father is greater than I’ In the Gospel of John, Ch. No.10, V.No. 29 ‘My father is greater than all’.In the Gospel of Mathew Ch.No.12 V.No.28 “I cast out devil with Sprit of God’.
Gospel of Luke, Ch. No. 11 V.No.20 “I with the finger of God, cast out devils’.
            Gospel of John, Ch.No.5
V.No.30 ‘I can of my own self do nothing – as I hear I judge, and my judgement is just, because I seek not my will, but the will of thy Father, who has sent me’.He never claimed Divinity. Infact he came to testify the pervious law. And he mentions in the

Gospel of Mathew Ch.5 V.17 to Verse No. 20 ‘Think not that I am come to destroy the law and the Prophets – I am come not to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till the heaven and earth pass one jot or one title shall not pass away from the law untill all be fulfilled. And whosoever therefore, shall break one of the least commandments and teach men to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven.
And whosoever shall keep them, and teach them so the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. For verily unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Scribes and the Pharasees, in no way shall you enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So
Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) said, that If you people want to enter Heaven you have to keep each and every commandment of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). Prophet Moses(peace be upon him) says it mention Deuteronomy 6 verse 4 “ Hear ‘o’ Israel you lord , you God is one lord” same message given by the jesus(peace be upon him) in Gospel of Mark ch 12 verse 29” Hear ‘o’ Israel you lord , you God is one lord”.

          • Michiel de Jong

There are, as you point out, more similarities between Jonah and Jesus. The fact that he volunteered to take the wrath of God upon him. There are however also dissimilarities; like the fact that it was Jonah’s own sin that brought him into this predicament. He was thrown into the sea, not executed. He ended up in a whale, not in a grave. However the most remarkable aspect was that Jonah returned to land, spat out by his ‘grave’. If you somehow try to suggest that this implies that Jesus somehow survived, you have to ignore what eyewitnesses tells us, as well as Roman and Jewish historians. Jesus was executed and died. (Probably the only aspect of Jesus life on which scholars agree)
The Quran came up with a different account of the events, centuries later… that he was not even crucified, not even ‘thrown over board’.
It is clear that Mohammed was not in the position to know. He supposedly got the ‘information’ from Allah. However neither Allah seems to be well informed about the historical facts, because he confuses Maria the mother of Jesus with Miriam the sister of Aaron and Moses, daughter of Amram, who lived 14 centuries earlier (Surah 3 & 13).
Again, it’s your obligation to investigate this sincerely.

Concerning ‘Good Friday’… One interpretation is; Jesus died and buried on Friday(1), then Saturday(2) and then Sunday (3) and was resurrected. However there are Christians who claimed Thursday to be the day of his crucifixion. They base this on a reconstruction of the events in the last week in Jerusalem and the claim that the combination Sabbath and Pesach have taken two days and that Johannes mend this in Joh19: 31 with ‘the great Sabbath’. And then they don’t count the Sunday, because that was not the day of the grave, but of the resurrection. Well,… maybe, maybe not. If this is your biggest concern, then go for the ‘Good Thursday’.

Inshallaha the below link will clearly how the God Should be

Maria the mother of Jesus with Miriam the sister of Aaron and Moses, daughter of Amram, who lived 14 centuries earlier (Surah 3 & 13).

          • Michiel de Jong

Well,.. that was 9 minutes and 6 seconds…. and obviously no substantive response. Whoever wrote the Quran, he clearly wasn’t aware of the difference between Maria and Miriam. Do you seriously consider this video to be convincing?

          • Mohomed Farooque

Actually you misunderstand the whole bible and now you want to make allegation about Quran also and you people not protected your scripture and blaming to others.
And you are English Speaking People and you don’t know simple English what the video says, we learned English from you when British came to India.

It is clearly mention in the video.

Qur’an 19:27-28–“At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: ‘O Mary! Truly an amazing thing hast thou brought! O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!”

It tells to Mary your are from such a Nobel family then how can you do an amazing thing.

And in same video there is another example of Jesus genealogy where it says it is mention in Bible Jesus has 4 fathers and according to your bible God is his father. Your are making contradiction.
            And I again tell you

The Whole Bible is not the word of GOD

            There is

Words of God : Book of Deuteronomy 18:18

Words of Prophet : Gospel of Mark 12:29

Words of Historians : Gospel of Mark 11:13

And we take only Words of God and Words of Prophet

And you know ther is one Bible called Red Label Bible which tells the words that Jesus really has said in the Bible and if we see the whole bible is written in Black only some are in Red means the black words are not even words of Jesus ammazing.

Allah Subhaanwataala says in the Glourioys
Qur’an in Surah Al Baqarah chapter: 2 ,verse: 79

“Then woe to those who write the Book
with their own hands and then say , “This is from Allah, ” to
purchase with it a little price ! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to the for that they earn (there by).”

          • Michiel de Jong

Those 9 minutes and 6 seconds referred to the video you gave me, in response to my remark about Allah not being aware of the difference between Maria and Miriam, obviously. The response of this Imam lacks substance of any kind. My question was whether you considered this video to be convincing?
I am willing to address the things you mentioned about the Bible, however it seems you try to avoid to answer, as was the tactic of this Imam in the video to gave me…

          • Mohomed Farooque

This was for you as reference and the quranic verse mention, which u remark as contradiction its clearly speaks about her decedent Noble family she belongs

and if you see this verse continue you will find how Jesus defend his mother which they charge on her and this is it First Miracel of Jesus
not like you mention in your Bible for the holy prophet Jesus he convert water in to wine ( because of this wine whole christian are now dringking This is the problem for your generation )

            29. But she pointed to the babe. They said: “How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?”

            30. He said: “I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;

            31. “And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;

            32. “(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;

            33. “So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)”!

            34. Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.

            35. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, “Be”, and it is.

            36. Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.

          • Michiel de Jong

Well,.. it is obvious that you are not going to address the fact that, who ever wrote the Quran was not aware of all historical facts and for instance confuses Maria with Miriam.
The conclusion that you could have drawn from this, is that the Quran was not written by God. Actually, when you think about it… you can easily draw this conclusion by reading it. God who created the earth, life and the universe must be obviously very creative, and looking at the beautiful setting in which he have placed humanity, obviously a positive attitude towards humans. That is not what you encounter reading the Quran. It’s a badly written book, with hardly any meaningful content and whatever content is in there is surrounded with an atmosphere of negativity; fighting, oppression, retaliation. In fact, this atmosphere is reflected in the cultures of predominantly Muslim countries, where corruption, violence, oppression, lack of freedom, human right abuse, bad treatment of minorities, widely spread believe in conspiracy theories is the rule. That is not a statistical coincidence but the consequence of this book and the example of Mohammed.
I am sorry, I don’t like it to tell you this, but it is the truth. The truth will set you free.

The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_100:_A_Ranking_of_the_Most_Influential_Persons_in_History

The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History is a 1978 book by Michael H. Hart, a self-described white separatist.[1] It was reprinted in 1992 with revisions. It is a ranking of the 100 people who, according to Hart, most influenced human history.[2] The first person on
Hart’s list is the Prophet of Islam Muhammad,[3] a selection that generated some controversy.[4] Hart asserted that Muhammad was “supremely successful” in both the religious and secular realms. He also believed that Muhammad’s role in the development of Islam was far more influential than Jesus’ collaboration in the
development of Christianity. He attributes the development of Christianity to St. Paul, who played a pivotal role in its
            dissemination.

Muhammad comes to a people steeped in barbarism and ignorance. They married their step-mothers; they buried
their daughters alive; drunkenness, adultery, idolatry and gambling were the order of the day.
Gibbon describes the Arabs before Islam in his “Decline
and Fall of the Roman Empire”, ‘THE HUMAN BRUTE, ALMOST WITHOUT SENSE, IS POORLY DISTINGUISHED FROM THE REST OF THE ANIMAL CREATION.’ There was hardly anything to distinguish between man and ‘animal’ of the time; they were animals in human form. From this abject barbarism, Muhammad
elevated them, in the words of Thomas Carlyle ‘into torch-bearers of light and learning.’ “TO THE ARAB NATION IT WAS A BIRTH FROM DARKNESS INTO LIGHT. ARABIA FIRST BECAME ALIVE BY MEANS OF IT. A POOR SHEPHERD PEOPLE, ROAMING UNNOTICED IN ITS
DESERTS SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD.
SEE, THE UNNOTICED BECOMES WORLD NOTABLE, THE SMALL HAS GROWN WORLD-GREAT. WITHIN ONE CENTURY AFTERWARDS ARABIA WAS AT GRANADA ON ONE HAND AND AT DELHI ON THE OTHER GLANCING IN VALOUR AND SPLENDOUR, AND THE LIGHT OF GENIUS, ARABIA SHINES OVER A
            GREAT SECTION OF THE WORLD…”
            http://www.bartleby.com/209/1082.html

The fact is that Muhammad gave his people a Law and Order they never had before.

“As regards Jesus, when the Jews felt suspicious of him that he might be an impostor with designs to pervert their teachings, Jesus took pains to assure them that he had not come with a new religion – no new laws and no new
regulations. I quote his own words
‘THINK NOT THAT I AM COME TO DESTROY THE LAW, OR THE PROPHETS: I AM NOT COME TO
DESTROY BUT TO FULFIL. FOR VERILY I SAY
UNTO YOU, TILL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS, ONE JOT OR ONE TITTLE SHALL IN NO WISE
PASS FROM THE LAW, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED’
            (Matthew 5:17-18)

In other words he had not come with any new laws or regulations; he came only to fulfil the old law. This is what he gave the Jews to understand – unless he was speaking with the tongue in his cheek trying to bluff the Jews into accepting him as a man of God and by subterfuge
trying to ram a new religion down their throats. No! This Messenger of God would never resort to such foul
means to subvert the Religion of God. He himself fulfilled the laws. He observed the commandments of Moses, and he respected the Sabbath. At no time did a single Jew point a finger at him to say, ‘why don’t you fast’ or ‘why don’t you wash your hands before you break bread’,
which charges they always levied against his disciples, but never against Jesus. This is because as a good Jew he honoured the laws of the prophets who preceded him. In short, he had created no new religion and had brought no new law like Moses and Muhammad.

My answer is again the same but you are not getting It is clearly mention in the video and mention below
Qur’an 19:27-28–“At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: ‘O Mary! Truly an amazing thing hast thou brought! O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a
            woman unchaste!”
It tells to Mary your are from such a Nobel family then how can you do an amazing thing.

Because her decedent Ibrahim Moses Arron all Jews prophets were decedent of Mary they all are belongs Nobel in in the History and it refers “how O sister of Aaron”.

          • Michiel de Jong

I am not here to argue about the influence of Mohammed on world history. Nebukadnezzar, Alexander the Great, Djengis Kahn, Lenin, Mao Zedong,.. they all have had and still have a tremendous impact,.. and Mohammed is without doubt among them.
And I even agree that Jesus doesn’t fit well in this category ending his life being rejected by most of his fellow Jews and executed by those who had the power. No army, no sword, no book, no women, just a few Galilean fishermen listening to him.
The question is more what kind of influence did and do they have on the history of humanity? And focussing on just Mohammed and Jesus, having a explicit messages supposedly from God;.. the question is; what is the content of their respective messages and what proofs their authority?

          • Mohomed Farooque

Thank you at last you came what exactly I want from you , I
have to cast lots through many examples to come on this stage.

The First Commandments Moses Jesus and Mohommad.

            Deuteronomy Chapter 6

4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

            Mark Chapter 12
28And one of the scribes came, and
having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them
well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

This was the time Jesus can say concept of God is Trinity (
Father Son and holy Ghost )but he not told that because he came to fulfil the law. And he told the same what Moses was told as above.

Now if we see when it was ask to Muhammad same question what’s
            is his reply.

            CHRISTIANS FROM NAJRAN

Whilst Islam was getting a firm foothold in Madeenah, the
reputation of the Messenger of God spread throughout the
length and breadth of Arabia. A community of Arab Christians
living in Najran, around Yemen, heard that an Arab in Arabia was
now claiming Divine inspiration and had proclaimed himself to
be the mouthpiece of God — a Prophet. A deputation set out for
Madeenah to cross-examine the Prophet, to match their
wits against his to test his knowledge about God and religion
in general. On their arrival they were housed in the Musjid-e-Nabawi
(the mosque of the Prophet): a simple structure of mud walls
with a thatched roof of palm leaves. The Christians, ate and
slept in the Mosque and had discussions with the Messenger of Allah
for three days and three nights in the mosque. The details of
the dialogue can be found in the Books of Traditions. During the course of the dialogue, the spokesman for the Christians, amongst many other things, posed the question,

“Now tell us O Muhummed, what is your concept of God?” The Prophet did not prevaricate, he did not beat around the bush, fumbling for words and ideas, to gather his thoughts, as anyone of us would have done if we did not have a ready answer, Muhummed (pbuh), so to speak, presses his spiritual buttons (there were no buttons to press) but as I said; “So to speak.” as if, like the lady above, in the airways office contacting the “Head Computer” He is seeking an
answer from Allah through the “PRESERVED TABLET*, the head
computer of all revelational knowledge. He is asking again I said, so
            to speak
“0 my Lord! What shall I say?” Came the answer
Say: (0 Muhummed) He is Allah the one and only; Allah,
            the eternal absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten, And there is none like
            unto him.
            Holy Quran 112:1-4

After uttering the above formula on the Purity of Faith, the onversation returned to the usual discourse of words. No Arab worth his name could have missed the difference in tone and intensity between the two discourses. The words above were not the Prophet’s but were God’s words. They were literally being put into his mouth. White he recited them, he was only being used as a mouthpiece of God, like the “speaker” in the radio. This data material was programmed into his own, God-given, computer, into his heart and mind a decade earlier in Makkah, under identical circumstances. At that time he was being prodded by the Jews who were trying to trip him on the subject of the “identity and genealogy of God.” Not unlike the Pharisees of old who were dogging the footsteps of Jesus, their awaited Messiah (pbuh). The foregoing is a perfect example of how God Almighty sent
His revelation to his chosen Messenger — by verbal inspiration — and how His Messenger had it protected and preserved, and how His human mouthpiece used and re-used that Message, and how we, the followers of the Prophet (pbuh), are to have that Message imbibed to
            use it at every opportunity.

Can you tell Is Bible Gods Word.

answering the question – “Is the Bible

            He says on page 17:

“Yes, the Bible is human, though some, out of a zeal
which is not according to knowledge,

1 have denied this. Those books 2 have passed through the

If words have any meaning, do we need to add another word of
            comment to prove our case?

No! But the professional propagandists, after letting the cat
out of the bag, still have the face

to try to make their readers believe that they have proved
beyond the shadow of any doubt

that the Bible is the “irrefragable 3 Word of God.”
            Their semantic gymnastics – equivocating,

and playing with words – is amazing! Both these Doctors of
Religion are telling us in the clearest language humanly possible that the
Bible is the handiwork of man, all the while pretending that they are proving
to the contrary. An old Arab saying
goes: “IF SUCH ARE THE PRIESTS, GOD BLESS THE CONGREGATION.” There is
no real remedy for such people. Even Jesus bewailed this sickness:

“…seeing they see not; hearing they hear not, neither
            do they understand.” (Matthew 13:13)

Al-Quŕán, the Holy Book of God, also condemns this mulish
            mentality:

Holy Qur’an Surah 2. The Cow

            18. Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path).

These lines are now addressed to those sincerely humble souls,
            who are genuinely

interested in seeking the Light of God, and who wish to be
guided by it. As for the other, with

a sickness in their souls, the facts presented herein can only
increase the disease of their hearts.

            THE DOGGED QUESTION

When the Muslim proves his point from the Christian’s own
            Scripture, and when the

professional priest, parson or predikant cannot refute the
            arguments – the inevitable Christian

evasion is – “DO YOU ACCEPT THE BIBLE AS GOD’S
WORD?” On the face of it, the question

seems to be an easy one, but a simple “Yes” or
“No” cannot be given as an answer. You see,

one has first to explain one’s position. But the Christian
will not give one the opportunity. He

gets impatient. “Answer – ‘Yes or No!'” he insists.
The Jews did the same to Jesus two

thousand years ago, except that surprisingly he was not
            straitjacketed, as is the fashion

today! And you also ask same question in same fashion (You now have several options; 1. You can
deny he ever said or has done these things and that it was all fabricated. 2.
You can assume he was mad, or worse. 3. Or you can accept him as he presented
            himself.

But the option the Quran gave you is not one of those. )

The reader will readily agree that things are not always
            either BLACK or WHITE. Between

these two extremes there are various shades of GREY. If you
say “Yes” to his question then it

would mean that you are prepared to swallow everything HOOK,
            LINE and SINKER, from

Genesis to Revelation from his Bible. If you respond with a
            “No” he quickly unhooks himself

from the facts he has presented, and rallies support from his
            co-religionists in the audience

with: You see, this man does not believe in the Bible! What
right has he to expound his case

from our Book?” With this hydra-like somersault he rests
content that he has safely evaded

the issue. What is the Muballigh to do? He has to explain his
            position vis-á-vis the Bible, as

            he ought to do.

            THREE GRADES OF EVIDENCE

We Muslims have no hesitation in acknowledging that in the
            Bible, there three different kinds

of witnessing recognizable without any need of specialized
            training. These are:

            1. You will be able to recognize in the Bible what may be
described as “The Word of God.”

            2. You also be able to discern what can be described as the
“Words of a Prophet of God.”

            3. And you will most readily observe that the bulk of the
Bible is the records of eye witnesses or ear witnesses, or people writing from
hearsay. As such they are the “Words of a Historian.”

You do not have to hunt for examples of these different types
of evidences in the Bible. The

following quotations will make the position crystal clear:

            The First Type:

            a. Iwill raise them up a prophet…and I will put my words in…and he shall speak

            unto them that I shall
            command him.” (Deuteronomy 18:18)

b.I even I am the Lord,
and beside me there is no saviour.”
            (Isaiah 43:11)

            c. Look unto me and be
ye saved, all the end of the earth: for I
            am God, and there

            is non else” (Isaiah 45:22)

Note the first person pronoun singular (encircled) in the
            above references, and without any

difficulty you will agree that the statements seem to have the
            sound of being GOD’S WORD.

            The Second Type:

            a. “Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eli, Eli, Lama
            sabachtani?…” (Matthew 27:46)

            b. “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the

Lord our God is one Lord:” (Mark 12:29)

            c. ” And Jesus said unto him, why callest thou me good?
There is none good but one,

            that is God.” (Mark 10:18).

Even a child will be able to affirm that: Jesus
“cried,” Jesus “answered,” and Jesus “said,”

are the words of the one to whom they are attributed, i.e. the
            WORDS OF A PROPHET OF

            GOD.

            The Third Type:

Is the Bible God’s Word? Page 5

“And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he,
(JESUS) came, if haply he (JESUS)

might find anything thereon: and when he (JESUS) came to it,
            he (JESUS) found nothing

            but leaves…” (Mark 11:13)

The bulk of the Bible is a witnessing of this THIRD kind.
These are the words of a third

person. Note the underlined pronouns. They are not the Words
of God or of His prophet, but

            the WORDS OF A HISTORIAN.

For the Muslim it is quite easy to distinguish the above types
            of evidence, because he also

has them in his own faith. But of the followers of the
different religions, he is the most fortunate
in this that his various records are contained in separate Books! ONE: The
first kind – THE WORD OF GOD – is found in a book called The Holy Quŕ-án.

TWO: The second kind – THE WORDS OF THE PROPHET OF GOD,
(Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are recorded in
the books of Tradition called The Hadith. THREE: Evidence of the third kind
abounds in different volume of Islamic history,
written by some of high integrity and learning, and others of less trustworthiness, but the Muslim
advisedly keeps his Books in separate volumes!

The Muslim keeps the above three types of evidence jealously
            apart, in their proper

gradations of authority. He never equates them. On the other
            hand, the “Holy Bible” contains

a motley type of literature, which composes the embarrassing
            kind, the sordid, and the

obscene – all under the same cover – A Christian is forced to
            concede equal spiritual import

and authority to all, and is thus unfortunate in this regard.

            , Chicago,
one of the most prestigious Christian Evangelical Mission in the world,
answering the question – “Is the Bible the Word of God?” , under the heading: IT IS HUMAN, YET DIVINE. He says on page 17:

“Yes, the Bible is human, though some, out of a zeal
which is not according to knowledge,

1 have denied this. Those books 2 have passed through the
minds of men, are written in the

language of men, were penned by the hands of men, and bear in
their style the characteristics of men.” Another erudite Christian scholar, Kenneth
Cragg, the Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem, says on

page 277 of his book, “The Call of the Minaret”: “Not so the New Testament3 … There is
condensation and editing; 1 there is choice, reproduction and witness. The
Gospels have come through the mind of the Church behind the authors. They
            represent experience and history.”2

If words have any meaning, do we need to add another word of

I am not going to repeat my exposition about your suggestion that Mohammed somehow brings the same message as Jesus, or setting the same example. That is obviously not the case as I pointed out previously.
Concerning your statements above; I don’t think the question “What is the first commandment of all?” is the same question as; “What is your concept of God?” Nor are the answers. In fact the contrary.
Mohammeds answer to the question he was asked, is clearly a rebuttal of the Christian faith; “He begetteth not, nor is He begotten” and indicates he rejected the way Jesus presented himself over and over again (as I pointed out in previous postings in this thread). Even in this episode you cite (Marc12:28-). The question was: “What is the first Commandment?” The answer Jesus gave to this scribe who asked him this was very strange; he mentioned two commandments and stated that they are one. For this scribe loving God and loving his ‘neighbour’ is one commandment and when the scribe confirmed this, Jesus made another remarkable comment; “you are close to the kingdom”. Guess who was a close ‘neighbour’ on that very moment; Jesus. Did he imply loving Jesus is the first commandment in whom God and neighbour came together?
Jesus poses a question to his listeners; How is it possible that David said (Ps110) that the Messiah will be both, his son and his Lord?
The message is very clear; that is exactly what he implies..!
Still you can believe Jesus was mad, but you can’t state that Mohammed brings the same message.

Do you know what the meaning of Begotten ?

            Begotten Means “Sired”!

            “It means, sired by God.”

The Muslim takes exception to the
word “begotten”, because begetting is an animal act, belonging to the
lower animal functions of sex. How can we attribute such a lowly capacity to
God? Metaphorically we are all the children of God, the good and the bad, and
Jesus would be closer to being the son of God than any one of us, because he
would be more faithful to God then any one of us can ever be. From that point
of view he is preeminently the son of God.

            Although this pernicious word
“begotten” has now unceremoniously been thrown out of the “Most
Accurate” version of the Bible, the Revised Standard Version
(R.S.V.), its ghost still lingers on in the Christian mind, both black and
white. Through its insidious brainwashing the white man is made to feel
superior to his black Christian brother of the same Church and Denomination.
And in turn, the black man is given a permanent inferiority complex through
            this dogma.

            John 3:16King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
            life.

You people are playing with Gods People
changing as you like. Who change this in Revised Standard Version (RSV) ? Not a
            Muslim , your 50 cooperating
denominations and 32 scholars of the highest eminence change this as they found this is fabrication.

            The
Muslim world should congratulate the “Fifty cooperating
denominations” of Christendom and their Brains Trust the “Thirty-two
scholars of the highest eminence” for bringing their Holy Bible a degree
            nearer to the Qur-anic truth.

            “He
begetteth not, nor is He begotten”{Holy Qur’an 112:3)

Jesus did not came to die for anybody’s sin, he came to
preach the message of God to the Israelites, he was not a universal messenger

But he said to them, “I must preach the Good News about
the Kingdom of God in other towns (of Israel) also, because that is what God
sent me to do.” Luke 4:43

Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else–to the nearby
villages–so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” Mark 1:38

He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of
            Israel.” Matthew 15:24

“These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: “Do
            not go in the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans;
but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 10:5-6

Jesus (Pbuh) in John 16 King James Version (KJV) 5 –
16 5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me,
Whither goest thou? 6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow
hath filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient
for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto
you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will
reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin,
because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father,
and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is
judged. 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that
shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me:
for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that
the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and
shall shew it unto you. 16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again,
a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

Who is this Comforter? In verse John 16 verse 7 above
            mention.

          • Michiel de Jong

Concerning the question; who is Jesus? …
He presented himself by all kind of qualifications; “I am the living water”, “I am the heavenly bread”, “I am the son of God”, “I am …”. He implied having the authority to adjust the law given to Israel by God, having the authority to forgive sins. He proofed to have the power to summon storms. He said he already existed even before Abraham was born and that “he and the father are one” .He raised from the death.

You now have several options; 1. You can deny he ever said or has done these things and that it was all fabricated. 2. You can assume he was mad, or worse. 3. Or you can accept him as he presented himself.
But the option the Quran gave you is not one of those.

          • Mohomed Farooque

This if our concept of GOD.

            Surah Al-Ikhlas (112)

            Say: He is
            Allah, the One and Only;

            Allah, the
            Eternal, Absolute;

            He
            begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

            And there
            is none like unto Him.

          • Michiel de Jong

I know that this is in the Quran and it’s up to you whether or not to believe it. However your exposition about the Bible suggesting it presented an other Jesus than we believe in, doesn’t make any sense at all, as I indicated.

          • Mohomed Farooque

you have misunderstand all message of Jesus the title of the discus was to Unite Muslim Jews and Christian , But as a conclusion you don’t want to Unite all this three and Our concept is exactly same what as I mention in my first comments

And I again say No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus ( PBUH )

          • Mohomed Farooque

            Judaism and Christianity
are not religion if we study Judaism we cannot find the word Judaism in their religion book and the
Christianity also does not exist. The word Christianity was first mention by
the enemy of Jesus who told that these are Christian who follow the Christ.

Even Jesus Christ does not know that his religion is Christianity.

And also the word “ Jesus”, Jesus himself don’t know his name
is Jesus. Because this name “Jesus” made by church after not at the time of
Jesus His name is “Yeshua” in Hebrew or “`Eesa” in
Arabic as the Hebrew and Arabic are
            sister language .

When he will come back and if someone running behind him and
calling his name Jesus Jesus he will not listen and if he listen also he will
            tell you

            He is telling you
            in Gospel Matthew 7:21 – 23

            “Not
everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but
only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on
that day,‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive
out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never
knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

            In
Quran it is told to us

            HOLY
            QURAN Al-Baqra Verse No:111

            And
they say: “None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a
Christian.” Those are their (vain) desires. Say: “Produce your proof
            if ye are truthful.”

            Instead
of showing the proof you yourself believe that the bible is corrupted.

“PEOPLE OF THE BOOK” (Jews and the Christians), O Learned People! O

Mohomed, you have quoted some good verses here from the Qur’an. However, both the Old and New Testaments seem to differ with Qur’an 3:64 about God not having an associate. Zechariah 13.7 (NASB) says, “‘Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the man, My Associate,’ declares the LORD of hosts. Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered.” Jesus identified himself as this associate and shepherd, without claiming to be God, by saying, “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10.11). So, this Zechariah text is a prophecy of Jesus’ sacrificial death for his sheep, a metaphor for his people.

The most quoted Old Testament text in the New Testament is Psalm 110.1. It also portrays Jesus’ as God’s associate. It reads, “The LORD says to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.'” This refers to Jesus’ session, in which he ascended to heaven and sat down at the right hand of God on God’s throne. Jesus alluded to it when he answered the high priest who condemned him, “I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man [referring to himself] sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven” (Matthew 26.64). The last clause refers to Jesus’ yet future second coming.

Similarly, the author of the New Testament book of Hebrews says of Jesus and God, “to which of the angels has He ever said, ‘Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet'” (Hebrews 1.13). This and other texts in this book reveal that Jesus became greater than all of the angels because he died for the sins of us who were sinners without hope because our sins had separated us from God (Ephesians 2.1), but now those of us who believe in Jesus as Savior have been reconciled to God by the death of Jesus and thus have the promise of eternal life.

      • Mohomed Farooque

        Quran (3:45)

” ‘Behold!’ the angels said: ‘O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of
a word from him: his name will be Jesus, the son of Mary; held in honor in this
world and the hereafter; and (of the company of) those nearest to Allah.” Quran (3:45)

        Psalms Chapter 110

1(A Psalm of David.) The LORD said
unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy
        footstool.

“Nearest to God,” not physically nor geographically, but
spiritually. Compare this with “And (Jesus) sat on the right hand of
God.” (Mark 16:19). The bulk of Christendom has misunderstood this verse
as well as many others in the Bible. They imagine the Father (God) sitting on a
throne, a glorified chair, and His Son, Jesus, sitting on His right hand side.
Can you conjure up the picture? If you do, you have strayed from the true
knowledge of God. He is no old Father Christmas. He is beyond the imagination of
the mind of man. He exists. He is real, but He is not like anything we can
        think of, or imagine.

In eastern languages “right hand” meant a place of honor, which
the Holy Quran more fittingly describes as “In the company of those
nearest to Allah.” The above verse confirms that Jesus is the Christ. and
that he is the Word which God bestowed upon Mary. Again, the Christian reads
into these words, a meaning which they do not carry. They equate the word
“Christ” with the idea of a god-incarnate; and the “Word”
        of God to be God.
