On March 3rd this year, I posted “Is Trump a Russian Asset?” I quoted three former Soviet/Russian KGB type spy agents, who by then had left Russia. They claimed that Soviet KGB agents had been grooming Donald Trump as a Russian asset starting in the late 1980s when he first visited Moscow to try to build a Trump hotel there. Two days later, on March 5th, I posted “AI Chatbot Grok Says Trump Likely Is a Russian Asset.”
De Sousa Says What Other Leaders Whisper
Today, Slate online says that last week, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of Portugal said of U.S. President Donald Trump, “The supreme leader of the world’s largest superpower is objectively a Soviet or Russia asset.” He then qualified his remark by explaining that Trump “has strategically benefited the Russian Federation” and therefore “operates” as a Russian “asset.”
Author Fred Kaplan wrote this Slate article entitled, “A European Leader Called Trump a ‘Russian Asset.’ He’s Right.” Kaplan explains the difference between an agent and an asset by saying, “An agent is a paid and writing spy; he formally, sometimes covertly, works for a foreign government. By contrast, an asset might serve a foreign government without even knowing that he’s doing so. This type of asset is sometimes called a dupe or a useful idiot” [emphasis his]. De Sousa made these remarks soon after Trump’s summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska concerning the Ukraine war.
Tough Guy Trump Is a TACO Man with Putin
That meeting and its aftermath sure have supported this hypothesis of Trump as a Russian asset. He had threatened before this summit that if Putin did not agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine three days after their summit, Trump would launch “consequences.” Instead, Trump proved to be a TACO man (Trump Always Chickens Out) as he has been identified of late. That is, Putin did not declare a ceasefire; Putin increased the bombing barrage of Ukraine and even its capital at Kiev that involved killing many innocent civilians; and Trump did nothing but complain that the Kremlin dictator was embarrassing him.
Mr. De Sousa is one of many European leaders who are dismayed that Donald Trump has been such an admirer of Vladimir Putin and always talking about what a good relationship they have. In fact, during the 2024 U.S. presidential campaign, Trump repeatedly uttered his typical braggadocio by saying he would end the Ukraine war on his first day in office if reelected as president. He said that because of what he believes is his good relationship with Putin. Instead, Donald Trump looks more like a Russian asset than a U.S. president.
Trump Berated Zelenskyy in the Oval Office
Early this year, Trump invited Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the White House to discuss the war in Ukraine. Trump had previously been signaling that he may no longer support Ukraine in defending itself against the invader Russia. Trump furthermore had been making many statements that were in opposition to democracy. When the televised meeting took place, which all the world could see on their television sets, Trump and his Vice President JD Vance immediately became hostile toward Zelenskyy, berating him in a most childish and embarrassing performance that appeared staged.
Many European leaders, mostly privately, expressed their shock and outrage. And many soon resigned themselves and their nations to the conclusion that Europe must quickly get its act together defensively to render serious aid to Ukraine and prepare for possible future assaults by Russia against Europe. The very disturbing element of all of this is that ever since Mr. Putin sent his troops into Ukraine, in February 2022, he occasionally has done some public saber rattling about the many nuclear weapons that Russia possesses.
Trump’s Sarcasm Shows His Frustration
Trump’s sarcastic remark he made yesterday reveals his frustration that Putin, China’s President Jinping Xi, and other nondemocratic leaders met this weekend together to celebrate a military parade in Beijing and the ending of WWII. Trump accused them of “conspiring” against the USA. But it was done mostly in reaction to bully Trump imposing tariffs against almost every nation in the world, starting with exorbitant, 50% tariffs against China and India. They just want to band together to oppose Trump acting like he runs the world. In fact, the man actually said that months ago! This is what Trump doesn’t realize about himself because he is such a sicko Narcissist. He causes such negative world reaction against himself and the U.S. as its president by trying to present himself as a tough guy, sort of a Mafia type. He even started wearing a red cap early this year, and still does, that says, “Trump Was Right About Everything.” What a nauseous boast!
“The First Will Be Last”—Jesus
I think President Trump will not be successful with that seeming bravado and that it will backfire on him. His “Make America Great Again” and “America First” sayings will not win the day. And that’s according to Jesus. He said repeatedly, “The last will be first, and the first will be last” (e.g., Matthew 20.16; 19.30). Between this and Trump appearing as a Russian asset, I think the title of my book about him will prove right—Bible Predicts Trump Fall.
