Practicing Together #8

Practicing Together #8 March 18, 2013

Ritual is important, so every Monday, we say hello and practice together.  This practice grew out of a practice I have been doing once a week with my friend Rachel for over a year now, and I find it so helpful to approach my week with intention instead of having it happen to me.

This past week, I noticed that sometimes solving one thing makes other things feel more solvable.

This coming week, I invite in the experience that there is plenty of time.  I have talked about time before in this space, and danced around ways to name this particular experience, so this week, I want to try approaching it head-on.  There is plenty of time.  Yes.

Ways this could work: I could remind myself of it.  Or I could be reminded!  I could look for opportunities to savor lovely times.  I could shift my routine to make a little more space for ordinary tasks.  It could just work.

What went well: On March 14 (which is Pi Day), my office served pie to everyone.  Pie!

Updates from last week: Last week, I invited in ease, and then I got totally sidelined by experiencing hurry and worry!  So that didn’t go so well.  I’m trying for a clearer phrasing this time.

As always, you are invited to join along in your own blog, in comments, or on the lovely social media!  (Have I mentioned we’re on Google+ and Facebook?)  Or in your head!  Regardless, happy Monday.
