DAY TWO of the LOVE TOUR

WOW! What an amazing reading tonight at SF’s beautiful independent bookstore, The Booksmith!

You work on a book for years in quiet solitude, then it’s published and, suddenly, it takes on a vibrant and separate life of its own. The energy, excitement and love were palpable in the air tonight as 150 people came together to listen and to celebrate. It’s beautiful to connect with this community of readers and supporters who are making this book so successful.

The panel was a lot of fun and the highlight of the evening was meeting our writer Tanzila for the first time. So proud to stand next to each and every one of our talented, strong and powerful writers!

The questions the attendees asked really showed what Nura & I truly believe – that people are tired of the politics of fear and are eager to connect with each other in more meaningful ways. One of our favorite questions: “Where did you find the courage to get through the incidents you wrote about, as well as the courage to write about it?”
