Children Are People 1: An Open Thread

Reader Hilary suggested I open a space solely for discussion surrounding children and parenting issues, so here it is, by request. Stories, questions, ideas, links—have at it! You do not have to have children yourself to participate. This space will operate as a chatter thread alongside the Lesbian Duplex, and I’m adding a chatter link to the tabs below the site header, which will direct you to either or both. Every so often, as the number of comments becomes unmanageable, I’ll open a new thread. Sometimes these posts will have themes, and other times they will be more open-ended. Two more things! First, my comment policy lays out the house rules. Please abide by them. Second, this is a safe space for positive parenting. While disagreement and discussion are find, childist comments will be deleted. Enjoy!
