ick has also been a newspaper columnist with the New Journal and Guide and a former radio talk-show host with WNIS-AM in Norfolk, Virginia. He is also a seven-year veteran of the United States Navy. He is the author of “Deconstructing Religion," "Deconstructing Religion 2," "The Martial Leader," and "MetaSpeech." Derrick is also a former Pastor and ecumenical leader.
Derrick has been actively involved with community activism and development. He has also served as a youth sports coach in football, baseball, and basketball.
