Yeah, this is a ridiculous question, but it’s certainly more fun than focusing on the ups and downs of this crazy political season! And apparently, people are asking it all over the internet. IJR reports:
Silly question, right? Except for the fact that when the World Series goes to a Game 7 in a presidential election year, if the American League wins, the Republican wins the White House. If the National League wins, the Democrat wins.
Ken Rudin, host of the podcast “Political Junkie,” researched the whole thing and found that the last eight times the Fall Classic went seven games, yeah.
So what does Ken say?
In the last 8 times a World Series went to a Game 7 in a prez year, when the AL team wins, WH goes GOP; when the NL team wins, Dems do too.
