Trump just broke up the political elite, but we need to do this to TRULY make America great again

As the sun rises on America today, the war against the ruling elite is not over, but a significant battle has been won. Against all odds, an outsider, Donald Trump, is now our President-Elect. It is an incredible moment in American history and signifies not the end of the fight, but instead the beginning of the real fight.

President Trump will now head to the heart of the beast, Washington DC, and attempt to do what no President has ever done…tame the federal leviathan. Even President Reagan failed to shrink the beast in D.C. The key is not the desire to do it, nor control of the Presidency, Congress or even the Supreme Court. The key is found in the Constitution. President Donald J. Trump will need the Constitution, to turn this country around and return it to greatness.

The entire federal apparatus will align against any attempts at reform. It has always done so, and it has always done so successfully. Its Achilles heel is found in Article V of the Constitution, in the states’ ability to call a convention to restrain the scope, power and jurisdiction of the federal government. That movement is already afoot in America, and eight states have already added their names to the list calling for such a convention.

Donald Trump, supported by millions of Americans, has breached the well-guarded walls of the ruling elite in Washington DC. Now is not the time for those millions to rest. Now is the time to pour through the breach. Now is not the time to wait for those in power, the thousands upon thousands running the bureaucracies to change their stripes and give up their power. Now is the time for the people to TAKE that power back. And the mechanism for removing their power and returning it to the people is a Convention of States.

A grassroots revolution, begun with the tea party movement in 2009, changed the House in 2010, the Senate in 2014, and has now lead to the White House. The grassroots army, so scorned by the DC elites, is now pouring through the gates. We must not deceive ourselves that those in DC will give up easily. They have lost the election, but they still hold the levers of power behind the scenes. The people must not rest, not even for a day.
