ABC said W’s press secretary Ari Fleischer was disappointed in Trump’s; then, Fleischer revealed his ACTUAL quote

The Trump administration has declared war on the mainstream media and for a good reason. The Progressive Media Complex has had its way for far too long, deliberately bending the narrative to the Left, inserting opinion and passing it off as reporting, and even stealth editing content to fit the agenda of the day. At the front lines of the battle is current White House press secretary Sean Spicer whose first appearance before the press corps on Saturday made it clear that the American public is sick of being lied to and will be keeping tabs on every misstep. 

But even though the media is now on high alert, ABC News broke the cardinal rule of journalism on Monday night during Nightline when it blatantly misquoted George W. Bush’s press secretary Ari Fleischer to make him sound more critical of Spicer’s performance which many in the media complained broke protocol norms.

Mediaite has the altered Fleischer “quote” as it appeared on the program:

“[Spicer’s] briefing made me uncomfortable. It was too truculent, too tough. It looks as if the ball was dropped on Saturday.”

But that’s not what he said at all and Fleischer called out the deception on Twitter:

If this is how the press reports, Trump is right to go after them. 4/4

ABC News issued a correction, saying Fleischer’s quote “was shortened and as a result his opinions mischaracterized.”  They promised to amend the piece and apologized for their “regretful error.”

But why should we believe them? This isn’t their first, and it won’t be their last. The media is controlled by the wave of New Fascism that has crept into our culture and which decides everything for us. It’s not about facts it’s about being first, and the more sensational, the better. Lies sell, and the truth is optional.
