The New Fascist Democrats run almost all the universities in America… even in the heartland. Recently, University of Nebraska professors rallied for the right to harass, abuse, and make foul gestures to conservative students manning a recruitment table for their school club. Campus Reform has the report:
About 50 University of Nebraska-Lincoln professors and students protested Monday for 40 minutes in support of a lecturer who bullied a conservative student over her political views.
The university relieved Courtney Lawton, a graduate student instructor, from her teaching duties after she flipped off and bullied the president of the school’s Turning Point USA chapter, Katie Mullen, while she was recruiting on campus.
An administrator even insisted that Mullen had to leave the premises until campus police showed up and affirmed her right to stay. Later, after the bullying became too much and Mullen was harassed to the point of tears, the officers escorted her to safety.
Wow. An adult making a student cry over political activism. That’s not very American, is it? Oh, but the Democratic fascists have code language. By hiding behind the words “Academic Freedom,” these bullies probably make themselves feel better about their small minded harassment:
“Academic Freedom is Democracy,” and the protesters made it clear throughout that their concern was for academic freedom, though the original incident with Mullen took place outside of the classroom on school grounds.
Lawton is the perfect example of a brazen bully that is not being held accountable for her behavior. She was rebuked by UNL spokesperson Steve Smith, who wrote, “Our expectations for civility were not met by the lecturer in her behavior…and not representative of a university where the robust free exchange of ideas takes place 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Lawton has been “reassigned” to non-teaching duties, but she has no place in a college setting. (Conversely, imagine if this had happened between a conservative professor and a Black Lives Matter activist. Yes, I know I’m asking too much of your imagination… universities rarely hire conservatives, and no conservative professor would ever treat a student that poorly. My point is that the university would not treat such a fictional professor with a slap on the wrist. That much is true.)
Lawton needs to be sent back to pre-school to learn basic manners, not be in a college setting.
Parents, send your kids to these places at your own peril.
