Vice Chair of the DNC Mocks Jewish Reporter as ‘Anti-Semitic Caricature’

You don’t have to dig very deep to find Anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party.  Here is the latest — revolting — example. Rep. Keith Ellison’s (D., Minn.) is the vice chair of the Democratic National Convention, and he apparently has a press secretary who is a vile anti-Semite.  The Free Beacon reports:

Rep. Keith Ellison’s (D., Minn.) press secretary sparked a Twitter spat Thursday after describing a prominent Jewish reporter as looking like an “anti-Semitic caricature.”

Isaiah Breen, Ellison’s press secretary, took to Twitter Thursday afternoon to jokingly claim he was fired from his position for publicly mocking two Jewish reporters, Bloomberg View’s Eli Lake and Daily Beast contributor Jamie Kirchick.

Breen, from his personal Twitter account, wrote, “To be clear, keith fired me with prejudice after i said jamie kirchik and eli lake remind me of pinky & the brain. i’m so sorry to both. [sic]”

Then, Breen added, “You *do* look like an antisemitic caricature.” I wish I could say I was surprised…but knowing Keith Ellison’s history, he has the perfect press secretary to represent him.  When the Free Beacon reached out to him for comment, he responded in this way: “What happened is you’re a punk bitch and you’re even uglier than eli lake eyyyyyooo fuck you.”  Additionally, he said, “”You look like if hans moleman was a real person and not a simpsons character. i would reach out to mike casca on twitter dm. he’ll probably go on record with you.”

To clarify, Hans Moleman is an elderly character on The Simpsons who has cataracts, is almost completely blind, and shows up in odd moments to cheat death.  Of course, it doesn’t matter who Hans Moleman is.  It matters that Rep. Ellison’s press secretary knows more about The Simpsons than about decency and honor.  Do you think for one second that this guy hid all of his vile thoughts from Rep. Ellison?  Do you believe that someone who could produce the above — and publicly! — was a class act in person?  This is inexcusable, but it’s also a sad reminder of the way that Democrats tend to work.
