Democrat #MeToo Advocate Accused of More Sexual Allegations

This is what is so startling about the #MeToo movement.  So many people coming out allying with the movement are actually wolves in sheeps’ clothing.  Such may the case with a Democrat California Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia.  Four anonymous employees said she frequently talked about sex, drank while doing government business at the Capitol, and pressured employees to go to bars with her.

Oh and one more thing.

Yahoo News explains she’s already on a leave of absence for “groping a colleague’s former staff member Daniel Fierro in 2014. The allegations against her marked a stunning twist to the California Legislature’s widening sexual harassment scandal that first broke open last fall and prompted two assemblymen to resign.”

Wow. Here’s the thing. I don’t know anything about this representative’s guilt or innocence, but I am tired of all the moral preening that goes along with the #MeToo movement. If you look at the Yahoo News story, you have to go all the way down to the eighth paragraph to find out her party affiliation:

Garcia, a Democrat representing southeast Los Angeles, has been a vocal leader of the #MeToo movement and a fierce advocate for women’s issues. She had been the chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus before she took her leave of absence. Caucus members voted Wednesday to install Democratic Assemblywoman Susan Eggman as the interim chair. Garcia has authored numerous bills about sexual assault, activity and consent; issues which current staff members said are discussed in the office when relevant.

Gilleon, who has represented clients in past high-profile sexual harassment cases such as the case against former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, said his clients will cooperate with an investigation but do not want their names to be public at this time for fear of retribution.

You can guarantee if this was a Republican that would be in Yahoo’s headline.
