I was a devoted fan when I was nine. Pure time travel awesomeness (until they started having the dumb silver-skinned aliens screwing around with stuff. Also, the one about the ghost of Nero was a low point. But there were also some great episodes!

I used to argue with Rick Haugen while we waited for the school bus. Our bone of contention was always the same: whether Tarzan or the Time Tunnel was cooler. I maintained the obviously wise and insightful position that the Time Tunnel taught you about history and was therefore clearly morally and socially improving. He held the plainly dumb and stupid (duh!) opinion that Tarzan was about sports, physical fitness, and nature. (Sheesh! Can you believe that?) Plus, Haugen was ugly.

So I was right. And that’s the truth. Pppplplplplppllplppth.
