So many sheep without, so many wolves within – Augustine

Remarking on yesterday’s post about the Catholic Chaplain who wrote the filthy bit of pro-choice agitprop for “Faithful Democrats”, a reader remarks:

During my Mom’s final illness, in a non-Catholic hospital, a very kind and compassionate Pakistani Muslim physician worked with us, patiently explaining everything and detailing our options. I sensed in him a very profound old-world, “home, hearth and family” attitude of respect for Mom’s life, as well as a religious regard for the sanctity of human life, which inspired my trust both as the patient’s daughter and as a Catholic. Although the news was sad, this doctor’s work with our family was of great help and comfort.

Two Catholic priests who had been Mom’s regular visitors, when we shared with them the physicians’ observations and recommendations, nodded in agreement.

God works His mercies through such unexpected means. His mercy endures forever.

There is much to be said for the old-fashioned, old-world “home, hearth, and family” attitude so different from the cool and calculating utilitarianism and expediency that seems prevalent in the attitude even of many fellow Christians.

Just a little reminder that God can do whatever he pleases with whomever he pleases. Give me that guy over the ninny who penned that piece of crap for Faithful Democrats.
