Just in case you are wondering how we do what we are doing down here in Savannah, Sir Ian McKellan explains the rich and subtle process we actors call “acting”:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43sbtkQM6zcI get choked up just listening to this True Artiste explicating the mysteries of our craft to the masses.
Things are proceeding apace. Yesterday, Innocent Smith made his first entrance at Beacon House, startling the dull residents therein (not for the last time), irritating Dr. Warner, proclaiming victory over his hat (a very cool hat I must say), and generally causing stir. Today, I got to climb a tree, give a speech at lunch about Independence and the nature of beauty, and walk through a sprinkler. Oh, and I got to doe si doe with my screen sweetie.
Tomorrow, it’s screen romance! (One of the nice things about Chesterton is that he write stories where the fat guy gets to do all the crazy physical stuff, as well as get the girl!)
We are close to finishing up all the exterior stuff, which is just as well since the weather is supposed to turn. I must say it is beeyootifull here in Savannah. The mercury creeped up in to the 80s today, so the sprinkler felt nice. Now I have to go learn my lines for tomorrow. The nice thing about proposing to a screen sweetie is that you know what she’ll say. 🙂
Anyhow, it continues to be fun! Gotta go catch dinner now! If you have any further questions about how acting is done, just let Sir Ian explain it all for you!
