He’s not interested in dialogue–he’s interested in cultivating the appearance of being interested in dialogue. Which ND’s commencement will do wonders for, and which he will exploit for all it’s worth, politically.

So, the University “hopes” for the basis of an engagement with the President, eh? Well, I suppose a hooker can hope for a cuddle after giving a blow job, too, President Jenkins. If you really think this can be the start of something meaningful, you are going to suffer the same disappointment as the working girl once the transaction is over.

After years of hearing from various disgruntled readers about how Zippy and I were American-hating Bush-despising, damn lib’ruls who would stop at nothing to advance our left wing agenda (I’m still awaiting my paycheck, Mr. Soros!) I was delighted to suddenly discover that Zippy (and I, who can see nothing amiss with his cheery takedown of Henry Karlson’s and Morning’s “Tu Quoque is the Only Form of Argument I Know” Minions’ deathless attempts to excuse anything that might suggest a conflict between Catholic teaching and Obama’s aspirations) are persona non grata at VN because we both think the attempts to square the circle of Obama’s contempt for inconvenient babies with Catholic teaching is, by turns, ridiculous and squirmily embarrassing to watch.
