I think the people who advocate such things generally lack the courage of their convictions, because they don’t just go ahead and advocate the Dahmer Oral Method of Tissue Harvesting. Their peculiar bourgeois aesthetic imagines there is some moral difference between what they want to do and what Jeffrey Dahmer, in fact, did.
They shouldn’t worry. We live in a culture which is laboring to erase such aesthetic quibbles. I suspect I will live to see the day when consenting adults will make the Dahmer Oral Method just part of the rich menu of moral diversity that our culture celebrates–or at least, that the strongest in our culture will be able to celebrate. The weak will increasingly not be allowed to contribute to rich tapestries of diversity. And who cares what they think anyway?
