Catholic and Enjoying It!
I’m a youth minister as a small town parish in Wisconsin. Next week (Sunday through Wednesday the 14-17th) I’m bringing eight students on a Catholic Youth Expeditions camping trip, where they will camp, pray, hike, and experience Our Lord in many different, beautiful ways throughout the week with about 30 other teens and a dedicated staff. I’m so excited to see the ways God will touch their hearts! My policy is that friends are always welcome to parish events, no matter what church they go to/don’t go to, and my students usually feel comfortable inviting non-Catholic friends to youth group or other events. I would ask your prayers and those of your readers for three of the students in particular, who are non-Catholics and coming along with their friends. I’m so thankful they’re coming, and please pray that God reveal even a tiny facet of Himself to them during the trip, especially through the Eucharist.
Father, hear our prayer and touch the hearts of these kids so that they may seek you and find you, through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for them! Amen!
