Archbishop Naumann and Bishop Finn have received a lot of negative attention in recent days because of their health care pastoral which many of you kindly linked to or reported.

NCR and America Mag have tried to isolate them and say they are opposed to the US Bishops. This is a lie. Nothing they said is against the bishops. They have raised additional concerns beyond what the Conference has raised, but they are not at odds with their brother bishops.

In fact, many of their brother bishops have raised the same concerns in more forceful manner. All of them still vigorously support the goal of providing care to those without. Some of their brother bishops’ concerns can be seen in this post:
