Prayer Request

A reader writes:

Please pray for my husband, Randy. He is in prison. He went before the parole board almost a month ago and we still have not hear an answer. He is 54 years old with 6 heart stints, diabetes, high blood pressure, liver disease and has had both shoulders (rotator cuffs) replaced. He has been in jail for 16 months on a parole violation. He has been a model prisoner. No write ups or violations. All 6 parole board members must be in agreement before he is allowed to come home.I’ve heard that good things come to those who wait but we are both very much on edge. We pray many times everyday. This is the third time I have posted a prayer request for this purpose. We need all the prayers we can get. I love my husband very much. We have been in love since 1975. I was 14. God has been good. I have to believe he will see fit to allow my husband to come home. I don’t think he should be there in the first place. He was charged with tresspass and the charge was dropped but he is still in prison. PLEASE pray for us. Thank you and God bless.

Father, you sent your Son to be mercy and compassion for the prisoner. We ask that you would grant your mercy to Randy and to his family and that he could find a second chance and a new life in you through Jesus Christ. See him through his present difficulties, help them bear their cross, and set his feet on the rock who is Christ. Mother Mary, pray for them through Christ our Lord. Amen.
