Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

I have a prayer request I would like to share with your readers. It is for a friend of a friend who is considering an abortion. She is 46 years old and has had major heart surgery in the past. She just found out, after many years of infertility issues, that she is pregnant. She is very afraid that she could die as a result of this pregnancy, despite the fact that her high-risk OB-GYN told her that he believed she could safely carry this child. She is not a believer, and she is so frightened that all she can think of is aborting the child. Please pray that she can get past her fear and let this child live, and that both the mother and the child come through this safely. Thank you.

And another reader writes:

Would you please pray for my sister, Margaret, and her unborn baby? The
last time around she lost her baby at 21 weeks. She is 23 weeks along now,
and at her last checkup they noticed that she was about to start labour.
She has undergone surgery to stop it, which was successful, and is now
resting at home, but we are all praying rather fervently that she can hold
on at least until December (which would leave her at about 33 weeks). Extra
prayers going up for her can only help matters. Thank you so very much.

And another reader writes:

Deacon Ken Donohue is sick with cancer and is doing OK, all thing considered, However, prayers are always appreciated. Our parish as well as the whole archdiocese would be grateful for some help from CAEI’s doughty prayer warriors. God bless you, and thanks for the prayer support.

And finally, a reader writes:

A few coworkers of mine have bared false witness against me. One who is an Atheist and one who went so far as to inform Management that I was jeopardizing the Recertification Audit. A friend informed me that a few hours before the closing meeting where the Auditor would deliver the results, my coworker went to see her boss and informed him that I jeopardized audit. This person has never been audited or in charge of and audit blew this out of proportion. The Auditor did not say anything remotely damaging as she had said it was going to be. My fear (shamelessly) is that she will not let this die down but she is going to reassert herself to seem that she knew what she is talking about.

Please pray for me as evil forces have risen against me the past few months that could or maybe jeopardizing my career. Please pray for my coworkers who have turned from God. Help me pray that the truth of their intentions and who they truly are be revealed. Help me pray that they trust in God and not on their own understanding as they are securing their positions and undermining, sneering and belittling others to get ahead. In Jesus’ Name, I Pray.
I am having serious financial trouble an do not need this to jeopardize my career. Too much negativity, please tell me the blessing in store for me and my family will outway these evil forces.

Father, hear our prayer for all these people that they may receive your healing, help, provision and consolation through Jesus Christ, that their doctors and caregivers would be skilled and compassionate, and that those who love them would know your peace, and that they might be protect from the devil’s wiles. We ask this through your Son Jesus. Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Luke and St. Peregrine, pray for them!
