I’m seeing ads now for “Saw VI”. You can find out all you need to know about Saw here — aside from reputation, that’s all I know about it, since I will never watch any of these. Here’s my question:
Does the fact that this so many people are paying to see this torture movie strictly for ENTERTAINMENT — enough that the 6th movie in the series is now being released — speak worse for our country than the much smaller number of people who are ACTUALLY using torture in a misguided attempt to enhance national security?
My opinion, for what it’s worth, is that it does.
I don’t know that I think it’s much use to ask “Which is more evil?” It’s enough to know that both trends are very bad signs about the health of our culture. Both require repentance and the grace of God (always available).
