Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests 2014-12-31T17:47:55-07:00

A reader writes:

I’m home sick today… Trying to ward off the flu 🙁

and Nick Milne writes:

I write with two objectives this morning:

1. A prayer request; I have to do something very difficult on an ongoing basis for the next couple of months, and I would be grateful for any support I can get. I’ve received specific prayers from people familiar with the situation (which is actually rather boring), but a furious general assault from your readers would be great as well.

2. An announcement: although my blogging frequency has been spotty at best in the last few months, I’m determined to return to it in a comprehensive way effective immediately (this sort of sounds like the subject of my prayer request, now that I look at it, but it isn’t). Starting October 1st, I began a series of daily posts in joint celebration and lamentation of the many astonishing things that occurred throughout the month of October. The historically-minded Christian will likely be intrigued to note that the battles of Lepanto, Hastings, Trafalgar and the Milvian Bridge all occur in October, precisely one week apart from one another – the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. It certainly intrigued me, anyway; the importance of all four to the history of the Christian West is profound. There’ll be something for everyone as the month progresses, from the darkest depths of the modern world’s ills to the most radiant triumphs of the past. Many were born; many have died. The way in which everything lumps together is almost ominous.

Anyway, the introductory post is here:

And the first post in the series is here:

Father, hear our prayer for both these folks through Christ our Lord! Mother Mary, pray for them both! Amen!
