I am a student at Oxford University, Great Britain, reading French & Hebrew. Next year I will be spending a few months abroad in Israel, and would like to do something associated with my Catholic faith, but I have no idea where to start looking.

I hoped that you might know of some Catholic (or at least “worthwhile”) organisations or projects I could get involved with in the Holy Land….. anything from Scripture Study to charitable work – the only criterion is that the main language spoken must be Hebrew, not English.

Any suggestions you could give would be extremely gratefully received.

Sadly, I am so untraveled I have never even been to Oxford, much less Israel (though I have been to your cross-shire baseball rival school, Cambridge). I’m mostly just a provincial Seattle suburbanite. So I’m not much help in knowing this info. However, the internet being what it is, chances are good one of my readers might have some tips, so watch the comboxes and maybe somebody will have some help for you!
