I feel conflicted

On the one hand, Robert Blair Kaiser is yet another lefty Catholic with the normal pelvic obsessions and daft Americanist secular messianic dreams of a Church purged of things that get in the way of his ego. On the other hand, I rather like the idea of putting Cardinal Mahony on trial and I especially like the idea of his behaving more like a disciple of Christ and less like an eel. I salute the uniform in his case, but he’s not somebody I regard as particularly an ornament to the Church. The fact that somebody like Kaiser seems to see him as a stifling bastion of orthodoxy tells you all you need to know–about Kaiser.
