A reader writes:
A while ago I got word of the death of a dear cousin of mine, Isabel Mackey. She was in her early 70s and lived in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Please ask your readers to pray for the repose of her soul. She had a strong faith, and kept a positive attitude in spite of the many physical challenges she faced throughout her life. I will miss her very much. Remember also her sister and brothers who survive her, along with her many other relatives.
Father, hear our pray through your Son Jesus Christ. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Mother Mary, pray for her and all who love her.
Update: another reader writes asks for prayer for:
A wonderful and terrific nun of the liberal persuasion who was killed over the weekend.
I worked with her 20 years ago at St. Catherine’s Indian School and will attest to her devotion and dedication.
The release from the Diocese of Gallup says it all. She would have forgiven her perpetrators, this is certain.
Father, grant her eternal rest in the light of your glory through Christ our Lord. Amen. Mother Mary, welcome your faithful daughter.
