Just a note to let you know about what is, in all likelihood, a perfectly pointless new venture, The League of Bearded Catholics.

A casual observer may wonder, “Is it about Beards, or is it about Dead British Guys? Or is it about Catholic culture?” Let me say, “yes”.

Of course, there are those who look at the prospect of another monthly meeting and ask “Why?”… I see an excuse to drink beer and ask, “Why not?”.

As a bearded Catholic, I say, “I’ll be there in spirit!” As a Seattleite I say, “That means, ‘I won’t be there.'”

And as a Trekker I say, “K’plah!”
