piece on Mary allegedly appearing in Egypt in hopes that somebody here knows more.

I ain’t heard nuttin’, but that’s just me. I’m always rather leery of stuff on Spirit Daily since it’s a site that might better be advertised as Credulity Daily. But, of course, the thing about the hyper-credulous is that sometimes, like Luna Lovegood, they are right and there really are nargles. Spirit Daily may see Mary appearing all over the place and miraculous events taking place where the rest of us see waterstains on freeway underpasses. But on the plus side, when God really does do something amazing now and then, they are johnny on the spot with the news of it. Our age, which tends to prize the excess of being wise as a serpent over the excess of being innocent as doves is not really smarter for it. Just more closed to the possibility that God might, in fact, do something miraculous. That’s not really a virtue. It’s just cynicism and a certain cowardice about being made a fool of. The guys at Spirit Daily are willing to risk being laughed at a hundred times for being wrong because they know that if they are right on the hundred and first time, it will have been worth it.
