Deutschland to Christian Parents

Right thinking will be rewarded. Wrong thinking will be punished most severely. Sexualize your little kids early and often or else.

It’s just a matter of time before that gets here.

This is part of the confusion regnant in our culture. Y’see third world countries (many of them Islamic) are *right* to regard what currently passes for Western “culture” with horror and disgust. Christians certainly do. But every time a Christian says, “That’s horrible and disgusting” 200 Andrew Sullivan types jump out and shout “Theocrat!” and accuse them of being brothers under the skin with violent jihadists. Christians get all tongue-tied because they don’t want to be associated with Those Other Abrahamic Religionists Over There and they are too ignorant of the Church’s teachings on things like the hierarchy of truth to grasp the notion that you can agree with somebody on some things without agreeing with them on everything.

Proof: Everytime I point out the bleedin’ obvious fact that (as the Catechism teaches) Christianity and Islam have some things in common, there’s always a bunch of people who turn up in my comboxes or elsewhere to deny it vehemently, while often simultaneously regarding our current wars to export Madonna, abortion, and salvation through godless democratic capitalism as some sort of quasi-Christian Crusade.

In the thrall of this false paradigm, Christians are frightened to speak up too loudly in opposition to threats like this court decision in Germany, because they don’t want to be labeled “Christianists” and become regarded as just one more group of subversive radicals in a post-religious secular culture. So they play along. And get played.
