Catholic and Enjoying It!
He just got transferred from Holy Family parish over in West Seattle out to St. Mary of the Valley in Monroe, and now the parishioners in Monroe are discovering what a treasure God just dropped in their laps. One of them writes:
No surprise but we are loving Father Philip! He is so wonderful. My wife’s niece had to be hospitalized for H1N1 flu and she was in critical condition at the Wenatchee hospital. We got to Mass early several Sundays ago and my wife looked for the prayer book at St. Mary’s and then ran into Fr. Phil and Sister Barbara. Fr. Phil opened Mass asking for prayer for my wife’s niece. Two days later, our niece woke up in ICU and she has now been released. As you know, prayer is so powerful!
Doesn’t surprise me, what with all that “prayer of a righteous man availeth much” mojo they’ve got happening out there in Monroe now. You guys are seriously blessed!
