A reader writes:
My boyfriend and I will decide until New Year’s Eve whether to get married or go separate ways and will tell each other that night. Please pray that we decide what God wills for us and that we follow His intentions.
Another says:
I asked in October for prayers for the Lord’s intervention in saving my marriage. You graciously posted my request. I am now asking for continued prayer that the Lord send forth His Spirit to soften my wife’s heart and for her to give reconciliation a chance. I had all but given up hope for a reconciliation when I received a call from a member of a (Baptist) prayer group asking for an update on the situation. This, coupled with an article I read today about the effects of divorce on children, made me realize (somewhat reluctantly) that I need to continue to hope in the Lord for the saving of my marriage. I say that I am somewhat reluctant because I find it easier to give up and move on since my wife has said clearly that it is over. Consciously and willingly choosing to hope for reconciliation is painful because I feel as though I will be setting myself up for additional pain. Please pray for me and my wife.
In addition, I would like to ask you all to pray for the repose of the soul of Perry Lorenzo, a great Catholic, a great teacher, and an awesome gift to the people of Seattle. He died this past weekend, and his loss will be deeply felt. May his soul and all the souls of the faithfyul departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Here is a beautiful little testimony to him from one of the thousands of people whose lives he touched.
Finally, a reader who asked for prayer for a job he was looking at writes to say “Thanks! I got the job!” Much obliged, troops!
