thank you all for your prayers and good humor. it’s nice to know they are not mutually exclusive. i’m laughing along with you all. lame – loser – what’s the difference when it comes to spectator sports injuries. i had surgery this morning for the carpal tunnel release and it went very well, thanks be to God and the great medical team. i expect to be able to type with both hands in about 12 more days. happy new year!

She has a cast on her left hand. Daddums calls it “The Club”, but I think it makes her look rather like Popeye. But I suppose it would make me think twice about stealing a car she was occupying….

The especially good news is that we had a little new-year’s shindig last night … at which several people played Wii! However, being wiser and more prudent than ever, Mumsy joined a few of us in another room to play Pinochle. This worked out well: no injuries at all over the course of the card game.
