Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

I wrote a few weeks ago asking for prayers about an ex-husband who has legally harassed me for years. I have had colon cancer and have lost my sister to cancer during the whole mess.

In the spirit of the world which we all know is affected by original sin, the judge ruled almost totally in favor of my ex-husband, who I am certain, was able to hide assets.

All that said, I want to thank you and everyone for prayers. I am saying the prayer of Job and will ask for more prayer.

Please ask your readers to pray that I can, see my daughter through the last of all sorts of tests to rule out metastatic Melanoma, have a clean bill of health re new tests for my own cancer, get a place to live, find a way to make a little money and serve the Lord in spite of my doubts and my health and age. Also pray that the lawyer who handled my case very badly will adjust his unconscionable charges.

Father, hear our prayer for this woman and her family, that she would find justice, healing, and grace in her trials through your Son Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, pray for her!

Can you please ask your readers to pray for the people of Chile who are suffering through a devastating earthquake? Although that country gets quakes the way Seattle gets rainfall, this one has been particularly bad.

One of the tsunamis wiped away an entire village, literally picked it up and carried it out to sea with the people still in their houses. Pat Madrid has posted some images and stories on his blog about this.

Father, have mercy on the souls of those who have perished and grant that those who survived would find grace and help in this hour through your Son Jesus Christ. Our Lady, Star of the Sea, pray for them!
