You May Want to Sit Down for This

It turns out that Catholics who actually believe that the Church is a divine institution founded by Christ which teaches us the way of salvation and provides us with the means to attain heavenly ecstasy in the eternal life of the Blessed Trinity are more likely to support the Church with their earthly lucre than people who see the Church as a sociological construct, a place to meet babes, a photo op, a sacramental vending machine where they can get their weekly card punched, a vague consortium of people with roughly similar politics, or the building my wife drags me to each week for the sake of putting up a good appearance for the kids.
