Amish Grace

By a pure coincidence, I have a piece in the Register about the shocking scope of God’s mercy–which is a lot more than we are willing to bargain for. I write it, not because I’m able to cope with this demand any better than you are, but because I hope that by periodically reminding myself, I will not fall into the easy habit of saying, “Grace and mercy for me, but not for thee.”
