on the question of genetically modified organisms.
It’s easy to be knee jerk about such things. A certain sort of person can be of the “We can, therefore we WILL!” mindset which tends to move humanity swiftly along the track from “What could it hurt?” to “How were we supposed to know?!”
Another sort can make quick declarations that all such action is “meddling with nature” or “playing God.”
But the fact is, we’ve been genetically modifying organisms for centuries. That’s why poodles don’t look like wolves. The question is not whether we shall assert dominion over nature. That one was answered in the affirmative by God himself in Genesis. The question is, shall we do so by cooperating with the Creator or by defying the Creator?
