Given that the Church is the only public institution doing anything about this, the Darwinian Effect, in an epidemic of global sexual abuse of children, will be that children are going to be safer in a Catholic environment than anywhere else. The tragedy, of course, will be that in its grand moralistic self-righteous pride, the world will wind up fighting to preserve the status quo from interference by those disgusting Catholic perverts who don’t have anything they can tell Me. Because only the Church needs to repent. We’re all right, Jack.
