The St. Anthony of Padua Institute presents a lecture by Thomas Cavanaugh, Ph.D., Professor of Philosophy at the University of San Francisco. The event will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the parish hall of St. Margaret Mary Church, 1219 Excelsior Ave., Oakland, CA 94709. Professor Cavanaugh will discuss the current state of medical ethics and the potential role that insights from ancient Greek philosophy and the Christian tradition could play in its renewal.
